\nIn this leadership role, the Director of Technology is responsible for spearheading technology strategies and development within a growing consulting services company and building long-term customer relationships. \n\nThe Director is responsible for supporting new business development, maintaining technical excellence across engagement projects, and growing and leading an outstanding technology development team in a fast-paced agile environment.\n\nThe Director of Technology is a very hands-on, seasoned technical professional who contributes to the technical vision of Intevity and confidently leads Intevity’s enterprise clients through digital transformations.\n\nThe Director works closely with a team of like-minded strategists, developers, and our client’s business and IT stakeholders\n\nResponsibilities and activities are varied, and include:\n\nPre-Sales & Business Development:\n\n\n* \n\nParticipate in sales efforts for key accounts\n\n\n* \n\nLead the Technology team in shaping new opportunities for Intevity—be it expanding current client relationships, or forging new ones \n\n\n* \n\nStrategize and propose solutions for complex technical, scalability or performance challenges\n\n\n* \n\nCommunicate technical concepts, platforms and architectures, and solutions to clients in a compelling manner\n\n\n* \n\nDevelop and tell cohesive stories about proposed technology solutions\n\n\n* \n\nAssist with the development of proposals, including: shaping and responding to opportunities, proposal creation, and oral presentations related to the Technology service line\n\n\n* \n\nCollaborate with Engagement Managers to estimate engagements, and create statements of work that describe the scope, work effort, deliverables, and costs\n\n\n\n\n\nPractice Development and Strategy:\n\n\n* \n\nBuild and execute strategic plans for enterprise technology solutions, including technical leadership and architectural direction.\n\n\n* \n\nReview engagement technical direction during key architectural phases and advising on technical challenges and risks, costs and benefits, and additional solutions \n\n\n* \n\nLead, oversee and define best practices for technology and platform solutions, technical and quality standards and developer processes, and web and platform development using reusable software components of Fortune 500 clients\n\n\n* \n\nUse knowledge of big data and scalable data platforms to solve business problems \n\n\n* \n\nEvaluate and recommend new technologies on a regular basis to maintain technical excellence and development efficiencies both for internal use and to better service enterprise clients.\n\n\n* \n\nDrive, oversee, and provide thought leadership for technology and development, internally and externally through social media engagement (Intevity blogging, LinkedIn, Twitter), speaking at industry events, one-pagers, and white paper authoring\n\n\n\n\n\nLeading, Managing and Mentoring:\n\n\n* \n\nNatural ability to coach, lead and mentor team members and managers—with an emphasis on aligning their strengths and passions to Intevity business strategy and providing constructive feedback and support\n\n\n* \n\nEstablish and maintain an open, supportive environment where people can do their best work\n\n\n* \n\nSuccessfully manages project teams of varying sizes using Agile methodologies\n\n\n* \n\nMentor and guide Engagement Managers on how to lead with an integrated technology / development approach\n\n\n* \n\nManage utilization of the Technology team to attain individual and team targets\n\n\n* \n\nContribute to Talent Acquisition activities\n\n\n\n\n\nClient Engagements:\n\n\n* \n\nLead and define technology / development / platform engagement objectives and approach\n\n\n* \n\nDefine and ensure compliance to software engineering standards across the engineering team\n\n\n* \n\nEvaluate technologies and advise on technical challenges and risks, costs and benefits, and additional solutions\n\n\n* \n\nConsult on architectural and technical direction for Engagement teams\n\n\n* \n\nServe as technology SME for client discussions and workshops, and facilitates conversations to ensure stakeholder alignment on strategic solutions\n\n\n* \n\nCollaborate with the Engagement Managers on the Technology portion of an engagement to assign resources, and assist with planning and kick-off activities as needed\n\n\n* \n\nCollaborate with the Engagement Managers to provide regular status and other engagement-oriented communications while establishing and meeting expectations throughout the duration of the engagements\n\n\n* \n\nDevelop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders\n\n\n* \n\nLead development engagement completion activities, and strives to maintain strong client satisfaction\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nCompetencies and requirements\n\n\n* \n\nMinimum of 10 years related industry experience working with enterprise clients, including at least 5 years in a leadership role leading technology and development, and the creation of outstanding technology solutions within software applications\n\n\n* \n\nStrong interpersonal skills to facilitate working and problem-solving with others as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, public speaking/presentation skills and the demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.\n\n\n* \n\nDeep understanding of software architecture, full-stack development, and platform solutions to leverage contemporary IT technologies to create best in class solutions and lead multi-disciplinary teams in the development and production of solutions that exactly meet client business objectives and goals\n\n\n* \n\nComfortable and experienced with multiple modern front-end and back-end technologies (Examples: AEM, Sitecore, SFDC, Redis, NoSQL, React, GraphQL, AWS / Azure), as well as infrastructure and build automation technologies \n\n\n* \n\nComfortable and experienced with web services and backend web platforms such as Adobe AEM and Salesforce \n\n\n* \n\nDeep exposure to all aspects of modern web application architectures, visual design, and mobile web development\n\n\n* \n\nExperience designing and developing enterprise data analytic solutions\n\n\n* \n\nHighly motivated, with a proven track record of building and expanding accounts with enterprise clients\n\n\n* \n\nNatural leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities\n\n\n* \n\nAbility to manage multiple business initiatives \n\n\n* \n\nAbility to work in a remote, distributed environment and travel as needed to client locations\n\n\n\n\n\nExpectations: \n\nBeing remote allows our employees
