You're the expert at creating highly-available databases and planning for scale as we continue to grow. You work with everyone from the technical side to the operations side with endless opportunities to take on responsibility and continue learning.\n\nOur Tech Stack\n\nPostgreSQL, SQL-Server, Puppet, Ansible, Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP, Elixir, Elasticsearch, Capistrano, Redis, Sidekiq, Vagrant, Apache, Pentaho\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n\n* Support multiple business units as part of a cross-functional team, contributing to:\n\n\n* Database Tooling (creation, deployments, monitoring, automation)\n\n* Schema alterations\n\n* Capacity planning\n\n* Performance analysis\n\n* Query optimization\n\n\n\n\n\n* Partner with development teams during design phases to ensure effective utilization of our databases and sharing of your expertise\n\n* Monitor the performance of database operations and proactively recommend solutions\n\n* Maintain our security standards by implementing backup and disaster recovery requirements\n\n* Implement and improve scripts that facilitate ETL processes\n\n* Document everything important you do for our data\n\n\n\n\nAbout You\n\n\n* 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, working with relational databases\n\n* 3+ years of experience working closely with developers to advise at the design phase of the SDLC\n\n* Proven experience monitoring for potential issues and proactively recommending solutions\n\n* Some systems level experience, having worked in either Linux or Windows\n\n* Some experience managing geo-redundant data\n\n* Thrive in a collaborative environment, pairing on work and coaching developers\n\n* Adaptable to changing priorities and understanding diverse stakeholders’ database needs\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
