\nAndroid Developer\n\nOpen to WAH, Portland, Bloomfield, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Denver & Nashville as\nwork locations\n\nThis role is for an Android Developer, an experienced individual contributor, working hand-in-hand with a veteran team of native mobile app developers who are creating exciting new features for Client customers in the myClient mobile app.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Develop quality Android applications using native APIs in Java or Kotlin with Android Studio.\n\n* Build service based connectivity.\n\n* Optimize user experience.\n\n* Develop new and innovative features.\n\n* Troubleshoot, root cause and fix bugs.\n\n* Enhance native application performance.\n\n\n\n\n\nRequired:\n\n\n* In-depth Java or Kotlin programming background and debugging skills.\n\n* 2+ years of Android application development experience\n\n* Experience with mobile APIs and frameworks\n\n* Experience developing user interfaces using the Android Studio designer with XML\n\n* Knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle\n\n* Expert in Java or Kotlin\n\n* Experience with the Gradle build system\n\n* Experience with JSON and REST APIs\n\n* Experience building complex apps\n\n* Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis\n\n* Self-starter; oriented towards over-delivering to expectations instead of delivering / meeting expectations\n\n* Ability to work and thrive in a fast pace environment where business priorities can change quickly\n\n* Strong verbal and written communication skills\n\n* Passion for learning and creating new products and features\n\n* Experience with Git or version control systems\n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred:\n\n\n* Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred\n\n* Knowledge of Material Design\n\n* At least one app in the Google Play Store\n\n* Working knowledge of at least one UI testing framework (Espresso, Robolectric, Appium, etc...)\n\n* Facility with JUnit\n\n* Working knowledge of how to use the Android SDK tools (uiautomatorviewer, hierarchyviewer, adb, etc...)\n\n* Experience with RecylerView and ViewHolder design pattern\n\n* Experience with Realm database\n\n* Experience with RxJava, RxAndroid and/or RxKotlin\n\n* Experience with Android Jetpack\n\n* Experience building modular features that can be plugged into different apps\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
