\nMediavine, a fast-growing advertising management company representing over 4,000 websites in the food, lifestyle, and entertainment space is searching for a software developer to help our publisher support area of the business. We are looking for a versatile, motivated professional to be part of our engineering team during an exciting period of expansion. The main focus for this position will be Node.js development with TypeScript on new and existing microservices. Our favorite SaaS & PaaS include Heroku, Github, NPM, CircleCI, and Fastly. We like to write tests here (the automated kind) and we're always looking for ways to innovate, automate and move faster so we can spend less time deploying and more time coding.\n\n\nMediavine is a completely remote company, so communications skills are very important. Prior experience with remote work is also greatly desired.\n\nAs an engineer at Mediavine, you can expect to:\n\n\n* Draft, design, and deploy new and existing Node.js microservices\n\n* Work with your team to identify and solve complex problems\n\n* Create innovative solutions in the Ad-tech space\n\n* Develop ways to automate and improve company workflow\n\n* Review and submit Pull Requests on a daily basis\n\n* Get paid money to contribute to open source software\n\n* Learn to communicate your feelings via GIFs in Slack\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n\n* 3+ years of server-side JavaScript or Node.js experience\n\n* Proficiency and comfortability with multiple languages and patterns\n\n* Prior experience building RESTful APIs\n\n* Excellent communication skills\n\n* The ability to give and take constructive criticism of your code\n\n* A Github/Gitlab/Bitbucket account\n\n\n\n\n\nBonus points for additional...\n\n\n* Previous remote working experience\n\n* Experience with React.js or another front-end JavaScript presentation lib/framework\n\n* Experience with CSS3 (or SASS)\n\n* Experience, familiarity or interest in TypeScript or Flow (or another statically-typed language)\n\n* Comfortable with cross-browser web development\n\n* Experience with Webpack or another module bundling tool\n\n* Experience within the ad-tech industry\n\n* Familiarity with real time communication\n\n* Ability to translate computer science jargon into English\n\n\n\n\nPlease provide code samples with your application!\n\n\n\n\nBENEFITS\n\n\n* Work from home!
