\nThe Business Intelligence Developer will be a part of the Business Intelligence team and will support ongoing BI development and data integration activities that support day to day data and information needs of Spencer Gifts LLC. The individual will work closely with project managers, business analysts, end users of the reports/dashboards and other development teams to provide effective BI and integration solutions.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n* Design BI application technical solution based on business requirement and design\n\n* Executing deliverables as assigned including but not limited to:\n\n\n* Designing, Developing, Testing, and Deploying Dashboards and Report Solutions.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Application Object Creation\n\n* Schema Object Creation\n\n* MicroStrategy Administrative Tasks\n\n* Design logical and physical models for operational data stores as well as data warehouse incorporating relational modeling best practices and integration standards\n\n* Create and maintain process and methodology documentation\n\n* Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL-related activities\n\n\n\n\nJob Requirements\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED\n\n\n* 3 years’ experience with MicroStrategy\n\n* 3 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Netezza or comparable databases\n\n* 3 years’ experience in a BI development\n\n* This position requires experience with:\n\n* Data Modeling (Logical models and Physicals models)\n\n* ETL Tools such as SSIS, Informetica PowerCenter, or IBM DataStage\n\n* MSTR Architect\n\n* MSTR Object Manager\n\n* MSTR I-Server\n\n* MSTR Integrity Manager\n\n* MSTR Command Manager\n\n* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills\n\n* SQL, PL/SQL proficiency\n\n* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal\n\n* Certified as MCD (MicroStrategy Certified Developer) or above, or have comparable experience\n\n* Ability to work well independently and accomplish goals with little or no supervision, or as part of a team as a contributor\n\n* Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis in Excel\n\n* Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to self-prioritize work\n\n* Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism\n\n* Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent\n\n* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of BI tools and relational/MPP databases. This includes: \n\n* MicroStrategy 9.2.1 and above (MSTR 9.4.1 preferred)\n\n* Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above (MSSQL 2014 preferred)\n\n* Microsoft BI (SSIS and SSAS) \n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
