\nThe Financial Reporting Developer is responsible for the development and support of all standard and ad hoc reports for the Data Warehouse of MEDNAX. This will include: Architecture, development and support of complex database designs of the data warehouse; Monitoring and pro-active management of databases, data warehouse and production environment; Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports.\n\nEssential Job Functions \n\n\n\n* Architecture, development and support of complex database designs, including data warehouses.\n\n* Monitoring and pro-active management of databases, data warehouse and production environment.\n\n* Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports.\n\n* Develop and implement standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements.\n\n* Assist in design, programming, and implementation of systems interfaces between distributed information systems and corporate information systems.\n\n* Field support questions or problems and provide resolution or refer to vendor and log all issues and requests for tracking.\n\n* Solicit feedback from users on changes or enhancements needed.\n\n* Insure accurate and reliable data integrity within and between all database systems.\n\n* Ensure data standards are set and met across the organization.\n\n* Communicate the details, requirements and status of all current and planned projects.\n\n* Liaison to business owners of projects\n\n* Facilitate interview and group sessions to obtain business requirements and participate in definitions of business rules and data standards\n\n* Performs other duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. However, the individual may be required to lead multi-disciplinary project teams toward the implementation of database or reporting systems for operational goals.\n\nSkills Required \n\n\n\n* Knowledge of basic programming concepts and systems implementation.\n\n* Thorough understanding of relational databases\n\n* Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server tools (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS)\n\n* Hands on Cognos experience\n\n* Strong communication skills to convey reporting requirements and deliverables to management, staff, and vendors.\n\n\n\n\nSkills Preferred \n\n\n\n* Data Warehouse planning and analysis\n\n* Relational/Dimensional Data Modeling\n\n* Healthcare Industry experience\n\n* Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in data warehousing\n\n* The ability to manage multiple projects involving many vendors and staff members.\n\n* Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
