Engineering Managers at Wikipedia support engineers who build features and products used by people around the world. We look forward to your application.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Coach engineers in being effective at meeting their goals\n\n* Develop goals and track progress publicly and collaboratively\n\n* Represent team members within the organization and publicly\n\n* Coordinate with other teams and departments\n\n* Support your team members to develop their career paths\n\n* Recruit and hire new team members\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* BS in Computer Science or other relevant technical field or the equivalent in work experience\n\n* 3+ years’ experience in mobile apps\n\n* Experience supervising software engineering teams\n\n* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills\n\n* Passion for high fidelity native app experiences\n\n\n\n\nPluses:\n\n\n* Experience working with a geographically distributed software engineering team\n\n* Experience with open source software development\n\n* 3+ years of experience working in agile software development environments\n\n* Experience with service based architecture\n\n\n\n\nCode and presentations\n\nIf you have any existing open source software that you've developed (these could be your own software or patches to other packages) or presented on, please share the URLs.
