As a Python Developer in our Engagement team, you must have a proven track record of shipping clean and high-quality Python code. You should be comfortable reading and understanding large codebases, and be able to identify where to add new features. You should have some developer experience (e.g. hosting, server and database administration, version control, deployment, architecture and front end changes) but with a strong focus on writing and extending Python codebases, views and templates. You should be experienced in working out how to use third-party APIs, including Google Analytics, Intercom, SendGrid, and many more.\nYou should be able to deal with bugs and tickets, and to prioritize urgent issues. You should be able to make good judgement calls in difficult technical situations. You should be able to read bug reports and error messages and work out the likely cause and a potential solution. You should be good at communicating how you are thinking about a problem and to work on both long-term development and operational issues independently and collaboratively.\nYou should take pride in code quality and have opinions about coding style, code review, and software development processes. You will work in a fast-paced, open environment where help is readily available to fill in any gaps in your knowledge, but with an expectation that you will remain productive independently.
