The ideal candidate has worked with at least two configuration management or orchestration tools, and can provide concise written and verbal analysis regarding various approaches and toolchain components. The expectation would be that the role would progress from that of a capable independent contributor to a leadership and advisement role.\n\n\nROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\nROLE: We need someone who has experience leading initiatives that utilize industry standard toolchains (preferably open-source) to improve site reliability and performance. The position will work directly with the Platform and Product teams, so candidates must be able to collaborate with colleagues with varying levels of technical ability. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for helping to develop systems, documentation, and processes that are applicable to both the existing infrastructure environment and the future environment, with an understanding that the platform is transitioning from a legacy monolith to a Microservice model.\n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Platform Architect, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:\n\n\n\n* Infrastructure Architecture\n\n\n\n* Rearchitecting existing infrastructure facilities and implementing new orchestration tools to provide services to facilitate architectural initiatives\n\n* Aiding in the development and maintenance of a Disaster Recovery (DR) facility\n\n* Implementing best practices to centralize and secure user credentials\n\n* Contributing to the development and testing of containerized application delivery\n\n* Aiding in the development of protocols for maintaining PCI compliance and broader security audits\n\n\n\n\n\n* Quality Assurance\n\n\n* Implementing integration testing, continuous integration (CI) and load testing\n\n* Implementing documentation systems\n\n\n\n\n\n* General\n\n\n* Maintaining and continuously seeking to improve best practices in DevOps\n\n* Serving as primary point of contact to applicable vendors\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLOCATION: Occasion Brands maintains offices in Midtown New York and Delaware.
