\nAbout the role\n\nArm’s IoT Services Group (ISG) is growing, and is hiring a new Pre-Sales Engineer (FAE / Solution Architect).\n\nIf you have deep technical understanding in IoT and Cloud technologies, love presenting and interacting with customers on both business and technical level, and you're a fun person to work with – we want you in our team.\n\nYour accountabilities and responsibilities\n\nWorking with ISG’s Sales, Product Management, Engineering and other groups, you will work to drive adoption of Arm’s mbed device & cloud offering.\n\nYou will articulate and educate customers on the value proposition of our services, and be a key part in architectural discussions to ensure the planned solutions are ready to be successfully deployed at scale.\n\nYou will be the “customer voice” towards our Product and Engineering groups, articulating customer and field requirements, and “Arm’s voice” towards the customer, explaining how to use current and planned capabilities.\n\nYou will build deep technical and business relationship with customers, and also have some Product Managers and Engineers “on speed dial”.\n\n\nThe skills, experience, and qualifications you bring\n\n\n* You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical & customer-facing role in an IaaS/PaaS/SaaS organization\n\n* You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant discipline\n\n* You bring great presentation skills combined with solid listening skills and you enjoy engaging with varied audience types and sizes\n\n* You excel at articulating new and complex product offerings: High ability to synthesize multiple viewpoints, perspectives and opinions with objective and impartial analysis to craft solutions, gain consensus, and drive decisions\n\n* Startup mentality; organized but flexible; problem solver; self-starter with “can do” attitude\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the technical capabilities necessary be successful?\n\n\n* Understanding in communication protocols & radio technologies; web technologies & programming languages; IoT systems concepts; Online security models and protocols\n\n* Experience and connections in various industrial verticals (e.g., Utilities & Energy, Connected Spaces, and Transportation, Logistics & Retail) – big plus\n\n* Experience designing & developing connected applications (connected device, web service, user application).\n\n* Experience with web services infrastructure (e.g. IBM Bluemix, Microsoft Azure, AWS) – big plus\n\n* Experience with embedded systems development – big plus\n\n\n\n\nAt Arm, we are guided by our core beliefs that reflect the culture and guide decisions, defining how we work together.
