\nVote.org is hiring a Software Engineer to help us permantly increase voter turnout in America.\n\n\n\nCompany description\nVote.org is a Y-Combinator backed nonprofit that uses technology to simplify political engagement, increase voter turnout, and strengthen American democracy. We believe that Americans want to vote, and will vote in higher numbers -- and more consistently -- as voting becomes more convenient. We launched in April of 2016, and have since helped 13 million Americans register to vote and cast ballots via a combination of best-in-class technology and innovative proactive outreach. Most recently, we ran the single largest nonpartisan GOTV (get out the vote) drive in Alabama history. Our work has the potential to change the outcome of elections by bringing millions more voters into the voting booth. \n\nVote.org is deeply committed to diversity. We strongly encourage women, people of color, first-generation Americans, new parents, single parents, people with disabilities, and members of the queer community to apply.\n\nJob description\nSoftware engineers at Vote.org are integral to everything that we do, whether we're talking about building best-in-class civic engagement tools, or running massive outreach campaigns to low-propensity voters. This isn't just a regular coding job: you'll also interact with the legal team, the partnerships team, the communications team, and any other team that forms over the next few years. Millions of voters will use the tools you build, and dozens of national organzations will rely on your technoloyg to power their outreach efforts. Intrigued?
