Samoyed Communications LLC are currently seeking a Software Engineer with advanced JavaScript development experience to join our Symitar team. This software engineer will be responsible for implementing both the front-end and server side logic. This Software Engineer will be responsible for development activities related to visual elements of web applications as well as creating and consuming web services.\n\n\n\nAbout Our Team\n\n\n\nOur Professional Services Team provides credit union clients with analyst and programming resources to assist clients with their custom programming requests. We create custom programs for clients, as well as install, and support several custom products and services. We currently have 12 custom products/services and several well-developed interfaces. We also manage the installation and support for several core modules related to loan and new account processing, and forms.\n\n\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n\nMinimum of 3 years of technical experience in software development\n\nDemonstrated experience working with JavaScript and advanced JavaScript libraries\n\nExperience with Angular.js\n\n\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject\n\nCredit union industry and/or experience\n\nDemonstrated experience with Node.js\n\nDemonstrated experience creating and consuming both SOAP and REST services\n\nStrong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3\n\nGood understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX\n\nProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues\n\nProficient understanding of code versioning tools\n\nGood understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance\n\nExperience with programming automated, end-to-end testing using JavaScript frameworks like Protractor with Selenium.\n\nExperience with responsive-design application development using grid system frameworks like Bootstrap\n\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development process\n\n\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n\nCompletes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.\n\nPerforms system analysis and programming activities which may require extensive research and analysis.\n\nProvides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.\n\nProvides both individual and budget-level tasks and product effort estimates/costs.\n\nEnsures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production, both at an individual and team level.\n\nDevelops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.\n\nCreates required technical documentation.\n\nAdheres to documented departmental and corporate standards.
