\nAbout the Role We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can help us manage our cloud-based servers and infrastructure (AWS, among others). If you're a take-charge problem solver passionate about fighting food waste, we'd love to talk!\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Design, maintain, troubleshoot and refine an Amazon Web Services (AWS)-based architecture for hosting a large, complex and rapidly growing e-commerce micro-services platform\n\n* Provide direct server support (AWS) during various operations such as deployment and general production; available via PagerDuty for critical issues\n\n* Design, implement and test agreed-upon infrastructures\n\n* Automate all the things - Vagrant/Docker for developers, CloudFormation, continuous integration, auto-scaling, monitoring and alerting, and probably a whole lot more\n\n* Make developers happy --- by automating everything and providing transparency deeper down the stack in all environments, developers will shower you with love and produce emojis\n\n* Continuously improve system tooling and metrics\n\n* Manage other aspects of our technology stack (Rabbit MQ, Circle CI, and Kinesis/Lambda); troubleshooting issues reported from Customer Care\n\n\n\n\nSkills and Qualifications\n\n\n* 5+ years of experience in a Linux or similar operations environment\n\n* Experience managing AWS servers (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, Kinesis, Lambda)\n\n* Strong programming and scripting experience in multiple languages such as Bash, Shell, Node.js, .NET, F#, Python, Go\n\n* Familiarity with micro-services architecture\n\n* A passion for making everything repeatable and automated\n\n\n\n\nBonus Qualifications\n\n\n* Experience supporting e-commerce operations\n\n* Continuous integration and delivery using CircleCI\n\n* Postgres and Amazon Redshift system and query tuning\n\n* Modern logging & metrics systems, e.g. Loggly\n\n* Scaling Elasticsearch and Elastic Beanstalk\n\n\n\n\nAbout You\n\n\n* Intellectually curious\n\n* Impeccable attention to detail\n\n* Ability to manage your own workflow\n\n* The desire to find problems and fix them\n\n* Ability to think of new solutions to old problems - we work in produce, so there is a LOT of innovation to do\n\n* Mission-aligned: You like making the world a better place\n\n\n\n\nDetails of Position\n\n\n* Position reports to Chief Operating Officer\n\n* Location agnostic, able to work remotely alongside other distributed team members\n\n* Full-time exempt position\n\n* Salary and employee stock options commensurate with experience\n\n* Competitive benefits package including health care, paid vacation, and free produce! \n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
