\nSUSE QA engineers have at heart to maintain the high level of confidence and satisfaction delivered by SUSE products.\n\nAs a Senior QA Automation Engineer you will be organizing the development of testing automation for a set a SUSE products under development. We will expect you make sure test automation moves forward the engineering organization and that products perform to customer expectations and conform to the highest quality standards. This will include improve test automation infrastructure and writing yourself and mentoring a group of engineers involved in writing test automation.\n\nYou will be coordinating with agile development team stakeholders as well as business and customer facing organizations (product management, support, maintenance, presales...) to identify priorities and best approaches and make sure you understand the customers expectations in the most complete possible way.\n\nYour efforts towards the automation would be used to bolster the continuous integration and to speed up the delivery process where reasonable and isolate problems early.\n\nWe're strongly committed to open source and contribute to numerous free and open projects and initiatives. We embrace and believe in the open source innovation model and the open source business model. As a member of the Containers & Storage Solutions QA team you will have the opportunity to contribute to various open source projects. You will work together with the communities for these projects and strive to continuously advance the state of the art in QA and automation.\n\n\nHere's how:\n\n* Contribute to the automation test strategies and frameworks to drive up the automation test coverage and metrics\n* Collaborate in a cross-function team to ensure that all aspects of quality are actively discussed and addressed during the delivery process\n* Write automated release and testing automation in Go, Python and/or Ruby\n* Troubleshoot issues on test platforms\n* Prepare training materials, provide training and knowledge sharing for team members\n* Assist in Proof of Concepts, working jointly with the Presales team\n* Support teams will turn to you with difficult cases to tackle\n\nYour ability to learn is key and your existing knowledge should help you becoming quickly operational.\n\n\nHence, experience with the following is valuable, but not necessary:\n\n* Close collaboration with Software Engineering teams - in agile setup preferably\n\n* Hands on experience with Public Clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure or others) and/or OpenStack \n\n* Experience with troubleshooting complex issues in highly automated and distributed environments\n\n* Experience contributing to open source projects or being an open source maintainer\n\n* Knowledge of testing automation frameworks and tools \n\n* At ease with Linux installation and operations on servers... also the year of Linux on the Desktop was a long time ago for you :)\n\n* Practical experience with Terraform and SaltStack\n\n\n\nWhy work with us:\n\n* We are a tightly-knitted global team that is passionate about Linux, Containers, Cloud technologies and Open Source development\n* We enjoy being successful as a team and consequently foster the SCRUM values, focus, courage, openness, commitment and respect\n* We are flexible on working hours\n* We organize regular events to build up relationships and friendship within and across teams.
