The SUSE Cloud Application Platform engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us on the journey in designing and building these platforms.You will be actively contributing to the Cloud Foundry open source project and delivering the world's best enterprise grade application hosting platform.\n\nAt SUSE we're strongly committed to open source and contribute to numerous free and open projects and initiatives. A deep technical passion and enjoying learning the latest technologies and programming languages like Docker, Kubernetes and Go is a plus.\n\nQualifications:\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\n\n* Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience\n\n\n\n\nKnowledge and Skills:\n\nAt least 2 years’ software engineering or equivalent experience:\n\n\n* Hands-on software development experience in a variety of programming languages\n\n* Experience and/or interest in Agile methodologies\n\n* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills\n\n* Experience of working in Linux based environments\n\n* Experience working on production, shipping code\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n\n* Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals\n\n\n\n\nBonus qualifications:\n\n\n* Knowledge of Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Apache Mesos, Docker containers\n\n* Knowledge of, or desire to learn, Go, Ruby, and Java\n\n* Performance instrumentation, analysis and tuning\n\n* Experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development (TDD)\n\n* Experience with open source development\n\n* Experience with Cloud Computing (OpenStack, AWS, or Azure) and/or Distributed Systems\n\n* Experience working with a distributed team.
