\nYumpingo is a food intelligence business that provides deep insights to restaurants based on real-time reviews from diners, collected through our devices at the end of the meal. We already have a fleet of devices being used by consumers right now in some of the most well known branded restaurants across the UK, including Wagamama, Jamie’s Italian and Wahaca.\n\nYumpingo is based in at our offices in Covent Garden, in a dynamic working environment. Our team culture is to be friendly, to challenge one another respectfully whilst being open to challenge yourself, and to be pragmatic about how to achieve our goals. Everyone in the business is serious about building a global company and is proud of their role in that. \n\n\n\nAbout you\n\nYour challenge is to develop the platform to support a fast-growing business that has an opportunity to transform the eating out sector globally.\n\nYour role will be to join a team of five experienced and talented developers to enable Yumpingo to support one thousand restaurants by the end of this year across the UK and USA. That means broadening the product set to fulfil a diverse range of customer needs and developing systems that scale.\n\nYou will be working on both server and client sides. Your APIs will collect and process data from diners and third-parties to generate insights for restaurants. On the front end you'll be building browser and native apps that help restaurants develop their menus, manage their operations and engage with their guests.\n\nYou’ll be working across our full product set and throughout the product lifecycle - from ideation, to new features, testing, deployment and bug fixes.\n\nYou’ll be part of a growing team and will be able to make the difference. You will have the chance to learn new technologies, so you should have the willingness to learn new skills and extend your knowledge further.\n\nWe’re looking for someone technically astute that’s able to communicate with other team members and execs in the business. The opportunity is to shape and build a product used by millions of diners around the world, and help restaurants serve more food people love.\n\n\n\nSkills and requirements\n\nWe are primarily seeking backend skills, but if you can also work on the frontend that would be a bonus.\n\nYou must have at least 3-5 years experience with Node.js, MongoDB and MySQL and Github. On the frontend we work with Angular 5+. We use a lot of TypeScript and you’ll get some exposure and native Android development if you like.\n\nWe need to know that you can build back end solutions that will scale and that you’re thorough with your testing.\n\nIf you’ve worked with AWS products it would be a bonus, but it’s not a deal breaker.\n\nRequired skills\n\n\n* Node.js - TypeScript\n\n* OOP\n\n* TDD\n\n* MySQL\n\n* MongoDB\n\n* Git\n\n* Docker\n\n\n\n\nBonus skills\n\n\n* Angular 5+\n\n* HTML, CSS3, SASS\n\n* AWS experience\n\n* CI/CD tools\n\n\n\n\nYou must already hold an EU passport or visa, and be located inside the EU.\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\n\n* Competitive salary\n\n* Remote working\n\n* Generous annual leave\n\n* Share options \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe recruitment process\n\nAfter you submit your CV, we’ll send you a few short screening questions by email. The next step is an initial video interview. The final stage is to come and meet the team in the office.\n\n\n\nApply\n\nYou can apply via Stack Overflow or by email to [email protected] For you application to be considered, you should include:\n\n\n* your CV\n\n* your GitHub handle\n\n* some links to products you’ve worked on in the past\n\n* a few words about why you'd like to work with us\n\n\n\n\nIf you have any questions at all, just send us an email and we’ll happily have a chat with you.\n\nWe don’t work with 3rd party recruiters, agencies or software development companies so please don’t get in touch if that’s you.
