\nWhat you’ll be working on\n\nThe Core Framework comprises software that supports GeoPhy’s data infrastructure. We handle data ingestion, management, and inference, as well as deliver that data to the rest of the business. Our architecture is built around Kafka, graph databases, and Microservices; we develop mostly with Scala and Java.  \n\nWhat you'll be responsible for\n\n\n* Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software components of GeoPhy's data platform\n\n* Manage your own as well as the team's priorities, deadlines, and deliverables\n\n\n\n\nWhat we're looking for\n\n\n* BS/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience\n\n* Development experience in Java or Scala across the entire software life cycle\n\n* Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English\n\n* Willingness to work with Agile methodologies\n\n* Passion for writing high quality, rock-solid software, including test automation (unit/integration)\n\n\n\n\nGet bonus points if you have experience with,\n\n\n* Distributed systems\n\n* Streaming data\n\n* Graph databases\n\n* Semantic Web (RDF, SPARQL, OWL)\n\n\n\n\nWhat we give you\n\n\n* A salary you're happy with\n\n* Freedom to work where and when you want (as long as your team is on board!)\n\n* Up to 20% of your annual salary in quarterly bonuses and stock options\n\n* Trusting, transparent and diverse working culture\n\n\n\n\nIf you're convinced you are the right fit and you can’t wait to join our team, we are looking forward to hearing from you!
