\nBrushfire is looking for a Front End Web Application Engineer (U.S. ONLY) who is\n\n\n* driven to create captivating and interactive web experiences;\n\n* skilled in layout and has an eye for attention to detail,\n\n* familiar with web application development patterns and practices,\n\n* experienced in building published, high quality web sites and applications,\n\n* stimulated by collaborating with a team to define, design and ship new features.\n\n* excited to work for our primarily Christian church/ministry customers.\n\n\n\n\nYour primary task will be to utilize your design knowledge/problem-solving skills to work alongside our full stack developers as we create and maintain our large-scale web applications. You should be on the cutting edge of emerging standards, technologies, and tools while being well-versed in cross-platform, multi-cloud development of complex, highly-available systems. Ultimately, we want someone who will take pride in learning quickly and contributing fully to create an experience our users will love. Though we are remote, applicants closer to our team in Fort Worth, Texas will be shown preference.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\nThings you'll be doing:\n\n\n* Assist in designing web applications using HTML/CSS/Javascript and some C#\n\n* Collaborate closely with other developers and graphic designers\n\n* Participate on multiple projects from concept through completion without continual supervision.\n\n* Provide quality control over in both code and visual concepts/designs.\n\n* Grow to eventually lead sessions in your areas of strength while supervising and inspiring those involved in your process.\n\n\n\n\nThings you really need to have:\n\n\n* One or more years of experience coding web applications using HTML/CSS/Javascript and some server-side language (Ruby/PHP/Node/ASP.net/etc).\n\n* One or more years of experience with mobile responsive design using popular frameworks such as Bootstrap.\n\n* Familiarity with consuming HTTP Web API's.\n\n* Familiarity with distributed version control systems.\n\n* Ability to communicate fluently, pleasantly, and effectively—both orally and in writing, in the English language—with customers and co-workers.\n\n* Passion, integrity, and energy\n\n\n\n\nThings we think are cool for you to have, but aren't deal breakers:\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field\n\n* Experience with graphics design programs (Photoshop/Illustrator)\n\n* Experience with wireframing/mockup tools (InVision/Sketch)\n\n* Experience with native mobile development.\n\n* Experience with back-end, server-side MVC architecture.\n\n* Familiarity with relational database (SQL) design and/or non-structured persistent data stores (NoSQL)\n\n* Demonstrable experience on past projects (via Github, BitBucket, Google Code, etc). A candidate with an active commit history at a site like these will be favored over a candidate without similar history.\n\n\n
