\nThe Application Software Engineer develops, improves, and maintains Juristat's customer-facing applications. Working on small, agile teams, our engineers build products that solve problems in the Intellectual Property Law space that nobody else is tackling.\n\nOur ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong knowledge of React-based frontends and Node.js APIs and webservices. An eye for good frontend user experience is a must, but we don't expect you to be a designer.\n\nIn general, our engineering teams rely on solid software engineering skills, strong testing methodologies, continuous integration, iterative development processes, and high levels of developer flexibility to rapidly build top-notch products.\n\nOur engineers enjoy high levels of autonomy and friendly, collaborative relationships with colleagues. Management and process overhead are kept to a minimum, and as such we expect our engineers to independently rise to the challenges of the job.\n\nRequired skills: React, Redux, Node.js, general frontend Javascript, CSS.\n\nNice-to-have skills: Typescript, AWS, Express.js, SQL, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, and Angular 1 (for maintenance of legacy applications).\n\nWe prefer a candidate on-site in our Saint Louis, Missouri office, but will consider candidates in the Kansas City or San Francisco areas. Remote candidates will be considered but must be a very strong fit.\n\nSalary within the posted range is commensurate with experience and location and is negotiable.
