\nABOUT DATASTAX \n\nDataStax delivers Apache Cassandra™ in a database platform purpose built for the performance and availability demands of IOT, web, and mobile applications, giving enterprises a secure always-on database that remains operationally simple when scaled in a single datacenter or across multiple datacenters and clouds.\n\n\nOPPORTUNITY\n\nDataStax is looking for a talented Solutions Architect with expertise in big data technology to support our partner organization. This position will focus on our relationships with OEM and Systems Integrator partners. Responsibilities will include supporting OEM sales and technical presales interactions with SI partners to include preliminary training, technical messaging communication and as-needed technical consultation. This role will cover global OEMs and SIs and will include the following: \n\n\nEssential Job Functions: \n\n\n* Qualifying customer requirements and effectively articulating DataStax’s ability to meet these requirements.\n\n* Ensuring the success of OEM/SI partnerships through effective prioritization and management of technical enablement efforts, joint customer support and jointly developed technical and marketing collateral.\n\n* Partner education and deal support maximizing DataStax’s success through effective coaching and product positioning\n\n* Developing and delivering exceptional company/product presentations and demonstrations 1:1 and 1:many\n\n* An active member of the field feedback process to the Product Management team\n\n* Engagement of the Cassandra community through attendance of community events and the delivery of DataStax content as required. \n\n\n\n\n\nJob Requirements:\n\n\n* 2+ years working in partner sales organizations\n\n* 2+ years customer-facing experience\n\n* 5+ years experience in both traditional RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases, including Data Modeling\n\n* 5+ years experience with Linux, Shell scripting and/or Python/Java\n\n* Proven track record within a software vendor or turn-key hardware/software vendor\n\n* Strong communication and presentation skills with an ability to present complex solutions concisely 1:1 and to a large audience. Direct exposure to Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark and Solr preferable but not required. \n\n* Fluency in speaking to the full range of IT stakeholders including the IT Director / CIO level\n\n* Organized and analytical, able to thrive under pressure with outstanding time management skills\n\n* Creative and adaptive approach to removing obstacles and accelerating the sales cycle\n\n\n\n\n \nAbility to travel up to 50% of the time is required \nLocation: North America near a major airport. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
