\nRedElastic is looking for a talented Operations Lead with a love of automation. We're looking for a leader who can work with a minimal of direction in order to help us build and refine our entire deployment pipeline, immutable infrastructure, and world-class monitoring. You'll create our best-practices that we use on all client engagements, while also providing leadership for our internal operations practice.\nWhat you will do day-to-day:\n\n * Advise on all aspects of availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning\n * Provide leadership for other operations staff, including mentoring, coaching, removing blockers, and ensuring work of the team is completed on-spec and on-budget\n * Manage the infrastructure of sites that handle millions of visitors per day\n * Produce simple, readable infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible\n * Leverage your AWS expertise to help us construct a resilient topology across multiple availability zones and regions\n * Work with a team of top-notch consultants to offer best-practice advice for deploying distributed systems to production, including monitoring, logging, root cause analysis, and high-availability operations (through canary deployments and other zero-downtime techniques)\n * Research, learn, and present findings on new technologies and approaches to complex problems\n \n\n\nBenefits\n\nRedElastic is a small company without the bureaucracy of traditional consulting firms. We didn't start RedElastic to grow into yet another giant consulting company, we started RedElastic to create a home for the top talent in Canada so we could all build a brand we're proud of. We're very selective about who we hire, and even more selective about the client work we take on. This means you'll have a direct impact on the type of work we do as a team together.\nThe benefits of working at RedElastic:\n * Top-shelf compensation\n * Spend 2-5 days per week in our office in downtown Toronto, complete with free coffee, beer taps, and most importantly some great conversations with other talented folks; work from home the rest of the time\n * Remote applicants will be considered on a contract-basis\n * The ability to make a difference without the traditional boundaries of an enterprise role; create unique and compelling solutions without a hint of micromanagement\n * Take your career to the next level by participating in conferences, contributing to our blog, or even working on a book with us (well help you achieve your career goals in any way we can)\n \n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
