\nRight now, we are looking to add a talented Ruby Engineer with a deep understanding of Rails and real passion for open source development to collaborate within our small, but globally distributed team.\n\nTo be considered, please include a short note as to why you are a fit for this position!\n\nResponsibilities\n\nYour primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain the integration between the Ruby on Rails platform and the Elastic stack. This includes:\n\n\n* Maintaining the official libraries for the Rails integration\n\n* Collaborating on the official Ruby client library\n\n* Expanding the features of the libraries and exploring innovative use cases\n\n* Responding to users at GitHub or forums and processing pull requests from the community\n\n* Sharing the knowledge by building example applications, writing articles for the company blog, or presenting at conferences and meetups\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* You have extensive experience with the Ruby programming language and the Ruby on Rails framework\n\n* You are able to set goals and work independently in a distributed environment\n\n* You can communicate effectively and clearly in writing\n\n* You have experience with Elasticsearch from a developer point of view\n\n* You are passionate about open source development\n\n* If you have created a RubyGem, maintain an open source software project, or have contributed to Ruby on Rails or another open source project, we see it is an advantage\n\n\n
