We work with over 300,000 coaches and 1,000,000 athletes across 20 sports from Pop Warner to the pros.\n\nDominating this role means you:\n\n\n* Can motivate a hyper-talented squad of engineers to crank out awesome products.\n\n* Lead the team from start to finish - concepting, building, deploying, and learning from what just went out the door (often, start to finish is a matter of hours).\n\n* Aren't afraid to chip in with your strengths when deadlines are tight.\n\n* Can deftly scope a big, bold vision down to bite-sized work items and execute them.\n\n* Focus on product excellence almost as much as process excellence and can play a major role in user research, design brainstorming, and product decisions.\n\n* Are an agile/scrum/kanban/DevOps ninja with a sixth-sense when it comes to the right amount of process for a task.\n\n* Are passionate about cutting-edge approaches for building and maintaining highly-available, scalable cloud-based architectures.\n\n* Are known for supercharging the processes of the whole company by building top-notch tools for development, testing, and deployment.\n\n\n\n\nSome products we're working on now:\n\n\n* Two years into a transition from a Monolithic to Microservices architecture, we are focussing on adding new features to make distributed system programming easier. A recent feature addition enables durable asynchronous processing via RabbitMQ.\n\n* We are building out our automated regression suite of tools to make writing and maintaining tests for web, iOS and Android easier. In addition to frameworks we are writing tools to make running the suite or sub-sets of the suite easy, education and documentation so others can focus on authoring their own tests.\n\n* Using Chef to provision each of our server types. This effort will enable better auto-scaling of our application servers and position us to move from EC2-Classic to VPC.\n\n* Building out our Data Warehouse using S3, EMR, Hive and Spark to enable any Hudl employee to ask and answer questions across our various data sources. This includes application and server logs, SQL Server, MongoDB, ZenDesk, Jira, etc.\n\n* Today our application is within a single AWS region.
