\nRevl is seeking an experienced machine learning engineer to join our team!\n\nOur smart action cameras have just started rolling off the production line and shipping to customers. In addition to awesome cameras with built-in stabilization, we provide video editing software that helps users find the best moments in hours of video. This is an open-ended challenge: find the interesting moments in videos by processing video, audio, still images, and sensor data. You will have the opportunity to be creative and try out new ideas, as well as push yourself and Revl to the cutting edge of new and exciting solutions in video recognition / auto-editing.\n\nBeing able to turn your ideas into well written, maintainable C++ code that runs on laptops, servers, and mobile devices is a must, because although theoretical solutions to problems can be interesting, we all know the real fun (and value) is in the application of those solutions. If you have a passion for developing complete, unique and powerful ML systems, from a rough idea sketched on a white-board to deployed product, then this is the right opportunity for you.\n\nRevl is like no other startup. Our product revolves around adventure and fun and so does our culture. We're a small team and we work to quickly deliver products to delight our customers.\n\nWe are well funded by several reputable VC's and Angel Investors including Y Combinator, Comcast Ventures, Frog Design Ventures, Luma Pictures, Bill Tai, and Lars Rasmussen. We offer competitive salary, early equity, daily catered lunches, and we work out of a beautiful, commuter friendly office in SOMA.\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* Strong C++ skills\n\n* A strong, general machine learning background (neural networks, random forest, logistic regression, PCA, etc.)\n\n* Experience prototyping ML models in Python\n\n* Experience interpreting sensor data such as accelerometer, gyro, GPS, etc.\n\n* Strong user experience instincts\n\n* Knowledgeable in Statistics, Math and/or Physics\n\n* Excellent communication skills\n\n* Located in US or Canada\n\n\n\n\nPreferred, but not necessary:\n\n\n* Working knowledge of modern computer vision models (InceptionV3, etc)\n\n* Created at least one large scale ML powered system end-to-end\n\n* Experience writing cross-platform (iOS, Android, and server) C++ code\n\n* Experience creating models from sensor data\n\n* Computer vision expert\n\n* Extensive video editing experience\n\n* Experience implementing models on mobile\n\n* Open source contributions (please provide links)\n\n* iOS and/or Android development experience\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
