They are focused on one thing and one thing only: writing clean code that will scale with the increasing growth of NMI's presence in the payment gateway industry. \n\nResponsibilities and Duties\n\n\n* Write secure, clean software that scales with concurrency.\n\n* Write unit, application level and system tests.\n\n* Update and maintain the payment gateway system.\n\n* Document code, concepts, business logic, and logistics.\n\n* Design and develop new features and interfaces using modern web programming paradigms.\n\n* Build and maintain secure APIs.\n\n* Create efficient database queries.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications and Skills\n\n\n* Bachelor of Arts/Science in Computer science or other experience commensurate.\n\n* Minimum of 1-5+ years of experience developing complex applications.\n\n* Expertise in design patterns.\n\n* Fluency in all aspects of PHP development and the Software Development Lifecycle.\n\n* Expertise with MySQL.\n\n* Intermediate experience with JavaScript.\n\n* Working knowledge of Linux.\n\n* Must be able to work collaboratively with others.\n\n* Must be an independent and critical thinker.\n\n\n\n\nTeam Values - Cultural Fit\n\n\n* \n\nWork Ethic: You love getting things done.\n\n\n* \n\nPride in their work: You don’t settle for “good enough” because you have an innate drive to be the best. \n\n\n* \n\nInitiative: You don’t wait around for people to tell you what to do.
