\nWe've been given the green light to build out two much-needed applications for our largest client. Both are web-based, Single-Page applications using the latest technologies. The applications integrate with State systems, external vendors, and education partners.\n\nProject 1 - Education & Training\n\nWe are building an app that makes it more affordable for citizens to retrain for new careers. The application integrates with training partners, national education training systems, and the Federal government.\n\nProject 2 Child Support Enforcement\n\nThe client has asked us to develop a modern application to help enforce child support court decisions. The current version of the application runs on a mainframe. We are working with them to implement this complex system using modern Single Page Application frameworks.\n\nWe have 'trusted vendor' status with the State and have leeway to select the technologies and processes to implement the apps. Highlights are\n\n\n* Angular 4\n\n* Spring Boot\n\n* Assistive build tools including Webpack and Gulp\n\n* Automated builds and deploys to enterprise-level environments\n\n\n\n\nWireframes are approved, the product backlog's filled, and we're ready to roll. The biggest constraint of the project is the timeframe. We'll need you to start soon and be productive quickly.\n\nBoth projects are multi-year efforts with a very stable client.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n\n* Develop front and backend code using Angular and Spring Boot\n\n* Participate in the Agile process: daily standups, story grooming, demos and sprint planning\n\n* Create unit and functional tests to test java and javascript code\n\n\n\n\nWhat’s in it for you\nWe have fantastic reasons to work at PWW. For Full-Time Employees we offer:\n\n\n* Annual Profit Sharing program. It’s averaged 16% of your salary the last five years\n\n* A fantastic health care package. The company will cover 40% of expenses the first year, 75%, the second, 85% the third and 95% the fifth.\n\n* Work with a talented group of developers\n\n* an excellent location in Portland’s Old Port. Take your pick of all the places there are to eat.\n\n* Flex time - take time off during regular hours and make it up later\n\n* Free Parking\n\n* Friday Happy Hour, complete with ping-pong\n\n* Seasonal company outings\n\n* Choose what hardware you work on\n\n\n\n\nHighlighted Tech\n\n\n* Java 8\n\n* Angular 4\n\n* Karma\n\n* Liquibase\n\n* npm\n\n* Gulp\n\n* Maven\n\n* Spring Boot\n\n\n\n\nThe Team\nWe adhere to Scrum for all of our projects. The projects' Scrum teams consist of:\n\n\n* Product Owner\n\n* Scrum Master\n\n* 2-3 Developers\n\n* 1 QA\n\n\n\n\nWe're staffing these team with high-quality talent. There’s a lot to be learned from the other members. The team hammer on their keyboards in Portland Maine, Boise Idaho, and Portland Oregon (Yes, we've got both Portlands!).\n\nWe run all the Scrum meetings: planning, daily stand-ups, grooming, and stakeholder demos. We do peer code reviews, write unit tests, and conduct coding “safaris”—exploration of areas of the app you haven’t seen yet.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\nWhat You Need to Succeed in This Role\n\n\n* Strong Angular 4 skills\n\n* Strong HTML/CSS/SASS skills\n\n* A solid grounding in server-side Java Technologies\n\n* Spring Boot / MVC\n\n* JPA/Hibernate\n\n* Good attention to process and detail\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points:\n\n\n* You have a scrum master certification\n\n* You have experience with enterprise-level applications\n\n* You are familiar with dev ops and can implement one-button build and deploys\n\n\n\n\nWe believe the best way to know a developer's skill level is to review a code sample with your application. Provide a sample of your code,....or be left at the bottom of the candidate list. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
