We firmly believe in infrastructure as code and creating well designed, autonomous, self-correcting/healing systems. Our ideal candidate is not only fluent in the dominant technologies for cloud deployment but is also deeply curious and engaged with emergent technologies. Our ideal candidate should be able to test and analyze new tools and technologies and deliver reports that will define the company’s long term infrastructure strategy. Cyrus is a small, early-stage startup in pre-production, we are looking for someone who is willing to be in charge of all DevOps in our company.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign and implement a continuous integration and deployment pipeline.\nDesign and implement a micro service autoscaler tuned to the requirements of high-performance scientific applications.\nDesign and implement an infrastructure monitoring solution.\nMonitor the production environment and respond to events that happen during normal working hours.\nBe on an on-call rotation schedule for responding to events that happen after working hours and weekends.\nResearch and evaluate new container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, CoreOS fleet and Mesos.\n\nRequirements:\n\nBS in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience.\nHave a strong grasp of Linux systems, networking and security.\nStrong programming skills using scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, etc. \nExperience with public cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS).\nHands-on experience with Docker or experience controlling and monitoring 100+ instances.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure orchestration technologies.\nHands-on experience configuring Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins.\n\nBonus:\n\nFamiliarity with Go Language\nDevelopment experience in C/C++\nFamiliarity with Relational Databases. \n\n#Salary\n$80,000 — $90,000\n \n\n#Equity\n0.25 - 0.5\n\n\n#Location\nSeattle
