\nAfter some successful fundraising activity, Blitzen is seeking a Back-End Developer with 3-5 years’ experience in Python/Django to join our Engineering team and to help us build our platform. \n\nImpressive candidates with 1-3 years’ experience (new grads with co-op experience accepted) will be considered as well.\n\nThis candidate will get involved with the current engineering team and have experience working with an early stage product and high-growth start-up team. Candidates must have a passion for technology startups and will have the opportunity to be one of the first engineering hires in the team. The candidate will be expected to sustain themselves, keep motivated, and maintain the urgency needed for us to release on tight deadlines.\n\nBlitzen is built a Python/Django REST Framework for the back-end and AngularJs on the front-end. Strong candidates will have worked in the Python stack before and will be able to self-motivate and think critically about problem solving.\n\n\nThe Developer shall be responsible to perform the following duties:\n\n\n* Feature development\n\n* Writing unit tests\n\n* Project planning\n\n* Tracking of tasks and coordinating work within the team\n\n* Mentoring and engaging with current team to improve and optimize current code and planning practices\n\n* Involvement with strategic company decisions\n\n* Directly reporting to a Company Founder and CTO\n\n\n\n\nCompensation:\n\nCompensation will be in the form of a competitive startup salary with the opportunity to earn stock options via an options vesting plan, where appropriate.
