\nDataStax delivers Apache Cassandra™ in a database platform purpose built for the performance and availability demands of IOT, web, and mobile applications, giving enterprises a secure always-on database that remains operationally simple when scaled in a single datacenter or across multiple datacenters and clouds.\n\nLocation: Any City, United States\n\nEssential Job Functions:\n\n\n* Qualifying customer requirements and effectively articulating DataStax’s ability to meet these requirements.\n\n* Ensuring the success of customer PoC/Pilots through effective management of acceptance criteria and issue escalation/resolution\n\n* Maximizing DataStax’s success through effective mentoring and product positioning\n\n* Developing and delivering exceptional company/product presentations and demonstrations 1:1 and 1:many\n\n* Delivering public and private training for customers and partners\n\n* Providing feedback to the Product Management team\n\n* Participating in the Cassandra community by attendance in community events and the delivery of DataStax content as required\n\n\n\n\nJob Requirements:\n\n\n* 3+ years customer facing experience\n\n* 5+ years in an application development or consulting role\n\n* Proven track record within a software vendor or turn-key hardware/software vendor\n\n* Strong communication and presentation skill\n\n* Ability to present complex solutions concisely 1:1 and to a large audience\n\n* 5+ years experience in both traditional RDBMS and NoSQL databases including Data Modeling\n\n* Direct exposure to Cassandra, Hadoop and Solr preferable but not required\n\n* 5+ years of experience with Linux, Java and/or Python\n\n* Software development skills with the ability to communicate well to the developer community\n\n* Comfortable talking up and down the IT chain of command including the IT Director / CIO level\n\n* Good knowledge of datacenter architecture particularly multi-datacenter and global deployments\n\n* Organized and analytical, able to thrive under pressure whilst leveraging strong time management skills\n\n* Creative and adaptive approach with an ability to remove obstacles and accelerate the sales cycle\n\n* Software Development/Engineering work experience required\n\n* Ability to travel up to 30% of the time is required\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Any City, United States \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
