You’ll be responsible for working with the product owner and development team to architect, implement, and ship new product features.\n\nThis role is on-site out of our Vancouver office, though we do believe in flex time for when you need to work at home and working remotely is an option.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Work with the product owner and the development team to determine requirements and architect solutions\n- Design and implement solutions using the latest web and database technologies\n- Build robust API and database components using Node.js & Grails\n- Set realistic developer time estimations and complete them on time.\n- Write exceptional code that is simple and well tested.\n- Troubleshoot and debug issues in the live environment using logs, console dumps, etc\n- Ship delightful and exceptional features on a bi-weekly basis\n- Create massive impact on a global scale\n\nRequirements / Qualifications\n\n- Experience with Node.js & Grails\n- A solid understanding of client/server technologies and REST based architecture\n- Proven experience building production-grade REST APIs that are robust and maintainable\n- Experience creating and deploying solutions on cloud-based environments (Heroku, AWS, etc)\n- Familiar with the Agile development process (Scrum, user stories, etc)\n- Experience with version control systems such as Git\n- Strong relational databases skills (design, reporting) using MySQL/RDS or similar\n- Previous experience with integrating 3rd party APIs such as Stripe, SalesForce, Twilio, etc.\n- The ability to pick up new technologies quickly and move wherever in the stack help is needed\n- A link to your GitHub (or similar) showing samples of your work\n\nNice-to-haves\n\n- Experience with Angular.JS or other front end frameworks\n- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment\n- Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, etc)\n- Experience with mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Cordova)\n\nBenefits\n\n- Work at a company where you’ll be making a positive social impact on the world every single day, while having fun doing it - ping pong table, beer keg, arcade games, and a young and super talented team.\n- A salary that is on par with other startups in the social enterprise space.\n- Above-average health & dental benefits.\n- A flexible, results-based work environment. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
