\nAs a Security Architect, you will help shape security innovation and play a key role in the evolution of Walmart’s eCommerce enterprise architecture and security functions. You will work as part of an architecture team, reporting to the Principal Security Architect, to provide security guidance for the enterprise technology environment, with the goals of maturing the company’s infrastructure and application security policy and technology frameworks, improving overall security posture and cultivating company-wide culture of security-awareness. You will be a security advocate and will advise key stakeholders and service owners on risk management and how to effectively balance security and business requirements, while providing expert advice during security incidents, communicating mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences\n\nAs a Security Architect, you will help shape security innovation and play a key role in the evolution of Walmart’s eCommerce enterprise architecture and security functions. You will be a security advocate and will advise key stakeholders and service owners on risk management and how to effectively balance security and business requirements, while providing expert advice during security incidents, communicating mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nThe Security Architect is responsible for providing thought leadership and security-related subject matter expertise around a wide range of technologies and business initiatives. Key responsibilities include:\n• Serve as an information security advisor to key technology and business stakeholders, establishing trust relationships through active engagement and collaboration\n• Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; research information security standards; conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments\n• Act in an advisory role in application development and acquisition to assess security requirements and controls and to ensure that security controls are implemented as planned\n• Research and recommend tools to help manage security analysis, process, and risk\n• Develop security standards, methodology framework, and monitors for risks and/or effectiveness\n• Provide mentoring and technical leadership to the Information Security teams\n• Act as SME and provide third-level support and analysis during and after security incidents\n• Perform gap analysis across the organization to identify and document risk and to identify unnecessary complexity in existing processes and procedures; work with service and application owners on mitigation strategies\n• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations\n• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with 5+ years of experience in information security and/or IT risk management\n• 5 + years of hands-on experience as a security practitioner, implementing a variety of solutions across multiple disciplines\n• 3+ years of experience architecting solutions with a concentrated focus on security, performance, scalability, and reliability\n• 2+ years experience performing network and application security penetration testing and/or threat assessments\n• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years experience in information technology or related field within the last 10 years OR 8 years experience in information technology or related field within the last 10 years.
