Are you passionate about growing and expanding communities through evangelism, outreach and engagement? Excited about what Puppet Labs is doing and want to be a part of it? Love working with people, growing an established community and getting people excited about participating in Puppet?\n\nPuppet is hiring a Director of Evangelism and Community to take the lead on our many community efforts. In this role, you will:\n\n\n* \n\nEstablish a clear point of view regarding key topics relevant to Puppet Labs (including adjacent markets and emerging technologies).\n\n\n* \n\nManage the community team, oversee the Community programs and budget and use community metrics drive for results. Provide advice and mentoring across the company on community related issues and opportunities.\n\n\n* \n\nCreate an Evangelism & Community strategy and quarterly engagement plan that is focused on: increasing the size of the community; creating deeper engagement with all members as well as identifies new communities and individuals where Puppet Labs’ needs to engage in order to influence community and market perception about Puppet.\n\n\n* \n\nDrive the technical programs for PuppetConf and Puppet Camps by actively recruiting a diverse set of technical speakers and selecting high quality talks.\n\n\n* \n\nManage all aspects of the Puppet community and contribute within the community on a technical level.\n\n\n* \n\nEnsure that Puppet Labs employees are matched to the appropriate communities and events. These employees are well versed in Puppet Labs' technology and vision and are actively, consistently engaged in the identified communities in order to both evangelize Puppet Labs' technologies and listen and gather key insights from the community.\n\n\n* \n\nSeen as and sought out as an industry leader and company spokesperson representing Puppet Labs’ perspective through contributed talks, articles, and interaction with key industry leaders and industry analysts. Speak about Puppet and related technologies at industry events.\n\n\n* \n\nSuccessful outcomes (per defined measures) for all of the technical programs under Community management (PuppetConf, PUGs, Puppet Camps, Contributor Summit and #puppethack events) as well as the other community initiatives (Aak, metrics, community recognition, etc.)\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
