DESCRIPTION
Linux Academy is looking for a talented and motivated Google Cloud Course Author to join its ranks. This position can be in-office or remote. Does require limited travel to corporate headquarters.
The ideal candidate will have achieved mastery of Cloud Technologies, specializing in the terms, tools and utilities specific to Google Cloud. Other cloud vendor experience (either hands on or as an instructor/trainer) is a big plus.
This person must also demonstrate a high level of proficiency in analyzing different environments to determine the appropriate architecture for deployment inside the Google Cloud and be able to explain implementation details to students of varying skill levels and experience.
Most importantly, the ideal Google Cloud Instructor applicant has developed a burning desire to continually learn as new features are introduced and to share those features and utilities by creating videos, blog posts, labs, study guides and more for Linux Academy courses. We are also looking for someone with a burning passion to attend conferences and share their knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach standards and best practices as they relate to Google Compute (as well as how they may differ from other cloud environments such as AWS, OpenStack, and Azure).
- Teach how to architect and implement large scale cloud environments using the appropriate tools and features of Google Cloud.
- Research and learn new features and processes for the architecture and implementation of cloud infrastructure and services using established guidelines and best practices for Google Cloud. Be able to relay that information to Linux Academy students and teams via videos, labs, study guides, quiz questions, and more.
- Scripting and automation proficiency (e.g BASH, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.) and / or experience with DevOps and automation tools a big plus.
- Provide previous examples, such as YouTube videos, conference speaking, or blog posts, of how-to videos or other teaching that you have created related to technology.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with cloud technologies with at least 1 year focused on Google Cloud.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in enterprise IT, with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent applicable experience.
- Strong understanding of encryption and different methods for implemented encryption security to secure applications, data at rest, and data in transit.
