We are proud of the work we do and the company we represent.\n\n\nABOUT THE POSITION\n\nWe are seeking a knowledgeable Senior PHP developer with experience in an Enterprise environment who is motivated, creative, and fun, to develop and maintain Enterprise-class web applications.\n\n\n* Full-Time, 8a-5p in your time zone\n\n* Work from your home office\n\n* Company-provided MacBook Pro, Internet connection, etc\n\n* Must be located in the United States and be legally eligible to work for us\n\n* Travel is required for an annual company meeting, and may be required once or twice per year for team or project meetings.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n* In collaboration with other developers, determine effective programming architectures, development strategies, and infrastructure choices to achieve business goals and satisfy stakeholder requirements\n\n* Plan, code, unit test, and deploy major projects, features, and applications\n\n* Troubleshoot major applications; determine appropriate solutions, mitigation plans, and bug fixes.\n\n* Build complex applications using best-practice development methodologies, design patterns, simple functions, and solid OOP foundational design\n\n* Produce maintainable, documented, and highly-readable code every time [http://goo.gl/Kp3W3]\n\n* Contribute to best-practice development methodologies in CakePHP and potentially other MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.)\n\n* Mentor Junior Developers by monitoring their approach to problem solving, testing and adherence to coding standards\n\n* Perform code review on commits from contributing developers to audit the work, and ensure developer adherence to coding standards and established best-practices\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe prefer a great/interested/excited programmer with less experience to an unmotivated or unengaged programmer with tons of experience.\n\nTO APPLY: Submit a cover letter with your resume that includes why you would make a great addition to our team, a favorite clip from youtube, and your salary requirements.
