Amperity is well capitalized, having raised $9M in its seed round in February. Full press release\n\nIf you thrive on solving hard problems, have a desire to push yourself to the limits, and want to have fun in the process, then we would love to talk with you about joining our team.\n\nInteresting problems:\n\n\n* Our system involves ingestion of terabytes of data per day, blending batch processing with real-time events\n\n* We automatically combine data together across disparate systems, and improve this process in generalized ways\n\n* We allow users to perform complex, real-time queries across aggregated datasets\n\n\n\n\nTechnologies we use:\n\n\n* Open Source tools, such as Accumulo, Spark, and Kafka\n\n* Cloud-first automation, including Apache Aurora and SaltStack\n\n* Neural nets, random forests, logistic regression, and probabilistic databases\n\n* Emacs AND vi!\n\n\n\n\nAbout you:\n\n\n* You have at least 10 years of software development experience\n\n* You have experience leading complex distributed systems\n\n* You think about scalable architectures and great customer end to end experience\n\n* You improve things by 10x, not just 10%\n\n* You have worked in a DevOps environment, and drive sustainability such that DevOps is more Dev than Ops\n\n* You have built JVM oriented production systems\n\n* Your ears perk up when somebody says “graph traversal”\n\n* You are open-minded, inclusive, and motivated to make good decisions\n\n* You bring something new and rare to the party!\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
