\nAbout Us:\n\nEvery time you pay for an Uber ride or book on Airbnb, you’re using our product. Braintree lets you move money from one place to another safely and securely. It sounds complex (and it is), but we make it so simple, you wouldn't know we were there.\n\nAt Braintree, opportunities to shine happen daily. We value what makes you different, and encourage you to act on your ideas -- no matter how pie-in-the-sky. You bring skills and a customer-first mentality, and we'll bring the tools and environment you need to do the best work of your life.\n\nCheck us out - Braintree on The Muse | LinkedIn | Glassdoor | Facebook | Twitter\n\nEngineering Team Culture:\n\nWe are hiring Software Engineers to join our Commerce Team. The focus is to build the future of commerce. We simply look to hire smart people. No emphasis on a CS degree, or deep understanding of our tech stack, but instead Engineers who are passionate about their craft and excited to join a collaborative environment building the future of commerce. We are a largely remote team and have built a strong set of principles around our communication and workflow to support this.\n\nTypes of projects we work on:\n\nContextual commerce — With one seamless Braintree integration, you’ll pave a simple path for retailers to sell, and users to buy what they see - when they see it - on your platform.\n\nPayPal Commerce iOS SDK — building a better way to sell on mobile and giving customers a shopping experience with less typing, smarter purchasing, and more flexibility.\n\nThink — dropping a buy button into an email or online article to reduce friction and cart abandonment. Embed a store with our simple SDK to bring the complete shopping experience right into your existing app.\n\nWhat we look for in you:\n\nProficiency within your current tech stack and desire to continue learning. We build with Python and JavaScript, but are open to candidates with other experiences.\n\nWork in a highly collaborative environment. Our team is spread out across the country with people working in our Chicago and San Francisco offices, as well as remotely. You should be open to various channels of communication and enjoy the workflow of that team dynamic.\n\nYou’re excited about the work we’re doing. Contextual commerce is a new concept in the space, and we’re hoping you are passionate about helping build new consumer experiences.\n\nBraintree Perks:\n\nOpen Dev Day — two days a month our engineers work on projects that interest them to improve their craft\n\nProduct conferences — attend two conferences … all on the Braintree dime\n\nDaily catered lunches — salad bar and entree buffet. Yum!\n\nTuition reimbursement — we take education and skills development seriously\n\nTracking Free Vacation — employees self track their vacation to ensure you get the time off you need\n\nTake a look at our GitHub and blog: Braintree GitHub | Braintrust \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
