\n* No recruiters please.\n\n* Applicants must link apps they have worked on to be considered for the position\n\n\n\nMuzooka is currently recruiting a senior iOS developer to help kick some ass on the mobile team. We currently have an iPhone app on the app store but are looking for someone experienced to help make it stand out as one of the best apps for musicians on the market.\n\nWhat are we looking for?\n\nExperience\n\nWe want someone who has written and shipped a few apps to the app store, and understands the ins and outs of the iOS environment. You will be the sole developer on iOS and we need someone that can hit the ground running. You'll need to be able to provide accurate estimates on development cycles, and work with our other developers on server side and API integrations. You work hard, smart and honest.  \n\nAppreciation for good UI and interactions\n\nThe design team on mobile strives to create a great look and feel for our apps, and we need someone to accurately translate it into code. We're not the kind of guys that rely on standard controls, instead we want to either utilize existing libraries, edit those libraries until we get what we need, or work your magic to create your own. When the team asks 'Can this be done?' we want someone to say 'I'll find a way'. The design team spends the time creating the best possible experience in prototyping software (Principle, flinto) and we love to see it get built to match.\n\nPassion\n\nWe love music, and we like building cool products. We want someone that's consistency trying to improve and is in tune with the latest and greatest in tech. We love what we do here, and want to work with others that do as well.  \n\nWhat will I be working on?\n\nWe've got a fully functional iPhone app that we're looking to grow into the future. Simply put, venues sign up to muzooka and post their opportunities for musicians to play some live gigs. Musicians then find opportunities that they would like to play, submit a song for consideration and if the venue likes them, they get hired to play. Our Discover mode allows the user to quickly preview a 10 second clip of a song highlighted by the artist themselves. The user can quickly swipe through this content, which is a great way to find great new music fast. We're creating a new organizational system inside the app that is similar to Trello, which will be one of the first major updates to this upcoming app.\n\nHow we work\n\nOur main office is in Calgary, Alberta, but our team is spread across Vancouver, Montreal, Dallas, New York and Waterloo. Our best case scenario is that you're in Calgary willing to work out of our office, but we're also open to other developers located throughout Canada. We work with all of the tools you expect like Slack, Dropbox, Github and Sketch, and are open to using anything else that makes our collective lives easier.  \n\nAs a full-time employee, you’ll also have the chance to get in on the ground floor of our growing company. You’ll work directly with other members of the product team to accomplish our core goal: create one of the most compelling music products on the market.
