\nMortarStone is looking for a full-stack senior web developer who is not only adept at code, but also has the capacity for high level thinking and problem solving. This position will play a key role in the design, implementation and support of services for our partners and customers.\n\n** This position can be anywhere in the US.\n** Flexible: 20 to 40 hours a week long term\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Develop new and interesting features in Ruby on Rails.\n\n* Maintain existing application.\n\n* Testing and bug fixes.\n\n* Participate in discussions to make our services better.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n* Strong problem solving skills.\n\n* Must be able to follow directions and be self motivated.\n\n* Strong Ruby/Rails skills - 3 years minimum.\n\n* Unix/Linux administration.\n\n* Strong knowledge of SQL and databases. PostgreSQL preferred.\n\n* Experience with Git and GitHub.\n\n\n\n\nTechnical Competencies:\n\n\n* Possesses strong body of technical and application knowledge.\n\n* Web Services and API development a strong plus.\n\n* Experience with AWS services.\n\n* Experience with Linode or similar service.\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points\n\n\n* Experience with Angular JS.\n\n* You contribute to open-source tools (gems, libraries, etc).\n\n* Willing to learn.\n\n* Your GitHub profile is evidence of your active and ongoing work with the open-source world demonstrates your passion for technology.\n\n* Have worked with non-profits: volunteered, served on a board, served on Sunday at religious organization or other software development tasks.\n\n* Have worked for: FellowshipOne, The City, ChurchCommunityBuilder, Shelby, Blackbaud [Raisers Edge] or other Non-profit company.\n\n* Have experience working in a startup environment.\n\n\n\n\nYour open source projects:\n\n\n* In your cover letter, please include URLs to examples of your work available on GitHub, SourceForge, Google Code, or other similar site. This may include your own projects and/or contributions or useful additions to other projects. To verify ownership, please include a URL to a commit message somewhere in the repository containing the text '#mortarstone'.\n\n\n
