Each Remote Year community has two RY Staff, who serve as leaders and members of the community: a Community Manager and a Operations Manager. Together, these two are ultimately accountable for the experience and success of the program. The Operations Manager is responsible for quarterbacking all logistics related to the program, plays a leading role in professional programming for the group, and is responsible for helping Remote Year build its network and knowledge of cities around the world.\n\nResponsibilities\nOperations & Logistics:\nTransform information and logistics from the central ops team into an amazing,perfectly executed on the ground experience for the community\nManage and execute travel and city transitions through content generation and logistics planning \nEffectively communicate all information regarding core product and logistics within the group (email, custom web portal, etc.)\nEmergency situation management\nIndividual situations (i.e. health, safety)\nGroup situations (i.e. terrorism, political instability, contingency plans, etc.) \nProfessional programming: Create and implement professional development platforms for community members \nGuest speakers: bring in relevant speakers / groups to interact with the community\nNetworking events: organize and promote major Remote Year networking events in each city\nInternal skill-sharing: work with community members to facilitate knowledge-sharing within the community\nManage and grow knowledge base: play a key role in building external local contacts and partnerships, tracking local vendor performance, and managing our global database across many Remote Year cities\n\nQualifications: \nRequired: 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, customer service, or any analytical field\nRequired: Extended travel experience\nPreferred: experience in tourism and/or working with small companies/teams\n\nSkills/Qualities\nCommunications skills - ability to handle multiple, constant communication channels; ability to effectively translate information and needs between central ops team and clients\nOrganization skills โ great time management skills, ability to multitask, balance a strong attention to detail with big picture objectives \nProblem Solving - ability to create solutions in a fast paced environment with limited information and resources \nAnalytical skills - ability to create data-driven insights and synthesize information into recommendations and insights; ability to create and define processes to execute higher level objectives \nPassion for your travelling communityโ an unwavering excitement and stamina to spend a year traveling the globe with and leading a RY community \nPeople Skills - desire and ability to understand, communicate with, and connect with diverse groups of people\n\nExtra tags: Operations, Strategy, Logistics, Management, Travel \n\nPlease mention the words **NORMAL YOU CAUGHT** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMTguMjI3LjQ4LjEzMQ==).
