\nThe Personal Investing – Acquisition, Compensation and Insurance (ACI) organization has an opportunity for a Senior Manager - Software Engineering/ Development in our Raleigh/Durham, NC office. This person will be accountable for the growth and development of the software engineering organization within the Compensation product line, and involved in the planning and management of multiple, interdependent development efforts for the ACI organization. Ideal candidate will have experience developing and coaching associates on professional growth and managing in a distributed environment. Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and SCRUM principles is a must.\n\nACI is a fast paced, growing organization that supports a broad spectrum of business products. The key product areas we support are Marketing Acquisitions, Sales Representative Incentive Compensation and Life Insurance.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nPeople Management\n\n\n* Typically manages 6 - 9 exempt employees with a combination of individual contributors and variable labor can create a total team size of approximately 10 - 20 people\n\n* Will have responsibility for global workforce planning (both onshore and offshore)\n\n* Manages employees who perform similar or related tasks; may manage employees from mulltiple disciplines\n\n* Oversees people and performance management activities\n\n* Makes hiring decisions, recommends pay actions,\n\n* Establishes roles and performance goals\n\n* Monitors performance and provides feedback\n\n* Manages resource allocation across all initiatives\n\n* Identifies developmental needs and provides development opportunities for associates\n\n\n\n\nFunctional/Technical Management\n\nApplies technologies, methods and concepts to maximize functional/operational capabilities while optimizing the use of resources by:\n\n\n* Proposing and analyzing technology decisions (e.g., vendor selection, build vs buy, etc.)\n\n* Seeking and applying optimum mix of technology versus resources to meet business goals\n\n* Ensures effective use of technology vendors and internal Fidelity technology business partners.\n\n* Stays abreast of technology innovations and recommends applicability to the business\n\n* Ensures contingency activities are covered related to system/application availability\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
