The System Support Specialist (Help Desk Technician)'s role is to improve the productivity of CoStar employees by providing a single point of contact for problem resolution and information. This is accomplished through diagnosis, identification and resolution of problems with hardware, third-party and proprietary software, LANs and servers in a timely and professional manner via telephone, email communication, and hands-on support.\n\nObjectives\n\n• Provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or malfunctions of all systems applications, hardware and software installed and maintained by the company\n• Participant in telephone support rotation providing support to users in offices across the US via remote assistance tools\n• Document problems and solutions in help desk ticketing system\n• Inform management of potential problems and identifies problem trends\n• Install, modify, and make minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems\n• Create and maintain workstation images\n• Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives etc.\n• Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of computer hardware and software\n• Provide support for audio-visual systems including repair and/or replacement of projectors, etc.\n• Videoconference administration and support\n• Maintain and support local telecom system\n• Other duties and special projects as assigned\n\nCompetencies, Knowledge & Skills\n\n• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in IT or related field of study\n• Minimum of 1-year Help Desk experience\n• Ability to perform diagnostics, identify problems and provide resolutions\n• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment\n• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
