\nAt InventoryLab we are redefining the workflow of thousands of Amazon sellers. We are currently focused on growing our customer-driven team to meet increased demand; adding development, consulting and support staff. We’re currently working on a large iteration (dubbed Optimus Prime as a naming convention), finalizing product and technical documentation, and refactoring code in order to better our architecture. We are searching for a Director of Technology that can help grow our SaaS business by leading our technical team as they expand their skill sets (don’t worry, you’ll be expanding yours).\n\nThough we're growing, InventoryLab is a small company where each is highly visible within the company. Our Director of Technology is the directly responsible individual for all of our software and web development projects, making sure that the end product matches the desired expectations by working closely with our developers, product manager, and other teammates.\n\n\nAs our Director of Technology, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of various parts of InventoryLab’s platforms and evaluate (or build) APIs and technology that can be incorporated. You will lead sprint meetings and help write, estimate, prioritize and assign stories while keeping up with app maintenance. You will learn to “think like a user” to see the big picture to understand and implement our product vision. Bringing a new perspective to discussions is expected. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable code, develop and enforce standards for code management and DevOps, and for leading other team members to ensure the output will pass quality assurance tests and deadlines are met.\n\nJob Description\n\n\n* Provides leadership in developing strategic and tactical business objectives by providing guidance to management in the development of strategic plans that are linked to technical requirement plans. Responsible for developing, implementing and supporting both short-and long-term information technology plans (which includes the creation and administration of IT policies and procedures, and audit information system use for compliance and security while executing technology resource management).\n\n\n\n\n\n* Responsible for working closely with management and staff, to improve existing systems by reviewing users’ requests for changes, analyzing needs and budgets, and making recommendations for updates, replacements or enhancements\n\n\n\n\n\n* Consults with management and staff; supervises the development staff (leadership/coaching/mentoring concepts), including hiring and training; provide support to technical staff; and conduct feasibility studies for information technology projects.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.\n\n* Analyzes complex business needs presented by the product manager and recommends technical solutions based on level of priority and urgency.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
