We are looking for a bright and driven individual who prospers in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to learn something new every day.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\n\n* Design & development of Ruby on Rails applications\n\n* Involvement in developing and improving all aspects of our applications (development, testing, deployment, architecture)\n\n* Writing unit, acceptance, and integration tests.\n\n* Providing technical support of applications (to both internal and external users)\n\n\n\n\nExperience\n\n\n* 2+ years of experience creating applications in Ruby on Rails\n\n* 2+ years of experience working with at least one of the following: PostgreSQL/mySQL/sqlite\n\n* Experience working with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc.)\n\n* Excellent written and oral communication skills\n\n* Self-directed and able to manage your time effectively\n\n\n\n\nBonus points for…\n\n\n* Experience optimizing and scaling rails apps\n\n* Experience with Amazon AWS and/or Heroku\n\n* Experience writing or working with complex SQL\n\n* Previous history of working with a remote, distributed team\n\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\n\n* Competitive salary + stock option\n\n* Local candidates preferred, but open to remote for the right individual\n\n* With our team of experienced programmers, we promote collaboration with a strong support system.\n\n* Continuous peer to peer code reviews with ample opportunities to learn and grow as a developer.\n\n* Friday Research Day!
