Many courses are offered and facilitated in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin. \n\nWith offices in six countries, 1000+ employees and more than 100,000 student enrollments over the last 12 months, Emeritus is a global leader in the $280 billion global professional education market.  In 2020, Emeritus secured a $113 million Series D round with participation from Leeds Illuminate, Prosus Ventures, Sequoia India, and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.\n\nResponsibilities \n·                Explore and create business opportunities with top tier Brazilian academic institutions, to develop online programs with different academic units \n·                Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders with direct influence regarding University decision making process relating to digital education \n·                Develop deep and collaborative relationships that leads to an understanding of a University and its relevant Faculty’s strategic goals in order to define the most appropriate bespoke digital partnership solution \n·                Develop commercial proposals to create top quality, high potential and differentiated online portfolios with top universities in Brazil \n·                Construct and secure partnerships that are mutually profitable and scalable \n·                Lead and be part of the negotiation of all Brazilian partnership deals and work collaboratively across the team to ensure client’s expectations are being delivered \n·                Conduct a rigorous review of the target market segment that prioritises potential partners and forms the basis of a partner development strategy for Brazil \n·                This role reports directly to the LatAm Business Development Director and should share progress and results on a weekly pipeline call with leaders of LatAm operations. \n·                Work with other LatAm and global key areas, to ensure the correct implementation and results of the projects he/she developed \n·                Be the main point of contact for institutions in Brazil \n·                Identify regional or local events, where would be appropriate for him/her to participate to develop and reinforce his/her network in the segment \n·                Build and create term sheets and general terms agreements with his/her new partners \n\nEducation, Skills and Competencies \n·       Bachelor’s degree completed \n·       Master’s degree preferred \n·       Native Portuguese and Fluent English - written and spoken (additional Spanish language is a plus) \n·       Result and performance-oriented \n·       Interpersonal skills for building and developing long-term relations \n·       Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills \n·       Autonomous, self-motivated, and disciplined professional  \n·       Team player, agile and with a positive attitude a collaborative approach to work and face challenges \n·       A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment \n·       Open minded and creative to propose nonstandard solutions for special customer needs \n·       Microsoft office knowledge to create and manage efficiently presentations, documents, data bases, market research analysis, timelines, mail, and others \n·       Negotiating skills \n·       Ability to think strategically \n·       Ability to travel 30% \n\n\n\n\nEmeritus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
