\nOur DevOps team is a key part of building Avature, as they are responsible for creating the environments and tools used by our developers. As Backend Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in these tasks, while also ensuring clear communication between our IT and development areas, enabling multiple teams to collaborate toward a common goal\n\nYour challenges and objectives:\n\n\n* Provide the environments where Avature's applications run.\n\n* Manage the deployment and configuration of those applications.\n\n* Ensure fluent communication between the Development and IT areas.\n\n* Envision integrations between different internal systems.\n\n* Program complex operations to scale in distributed datacenters around the world.\n\n\n\n\nYour day-to-day activities:\n\n\n* Develop system tools to automate environment creation and deployments.\n\n* Manage and design our configuration management platform.\n\n* Interact with different virtualization platforms: AWS, KVM, LXD, Docker.\n\n* Design and maintain our continuous integration platform.\n\n* Promote best practices in deployments and infrastructure management among various teams.\n\n* Build continuous testing by automation and virtualization.\n\n* Design and develop highly distributed systems.\n\n* Perform code reviews, technical analysis of existing code, and refactors to improve code quality.\n\n\n\n\nAbout you:\n\n\n* Work experience in software development.\n\n* Superior analytical/troubleshooting skills.\n\n* Solid background in operating systems concepts.\n\n* Fluency in any structured programming language (preferably Python).\n\n* Knowledge (or willingness to learn) infrastructure management technologies (Puppet, Packer, Terraform, LXD, AWS, KVM, Docker, etc.)\n\n* Experience in product as a service operation is a plus.\n\n* Open source experience or contribution to any Linux/Unix distribution is a plus.\n\n\n\n\nWe offer:\n\n\n* A fast-paced, energetic, and engaging environment.\n\n* Flexible hours.\n\n* Competitive salary, with one review a year.\n\n* Four days a year to attend events related to professional development.\n\n\n\n\nDue to COVID 19, all Avaturians are working from home for the moment.
