\nWant to work for one of the Coolest and Hottest Open Source Software Companies In The World\n\nThe Developer Relations program at Elastic focuses on increasing adoption of our technology and ensuring user success. In this role, you will serve as an advocate for Elastic's product line to Developer and Operations Professionals. Your primary role will be to engage with our user community through creating ops-oriented technical artifacts for our product stack, participating in user groups, representing the company at developer events and giving presentations on our technology.\n\nPrevious experience as a developer advocate or community manager very much preferred, but not required. Hands-on systems administration or DevOps experience strongly preferred. Excellent presentation skills required. Fluent business English is required, familiarity with other languages is a plus.\n\nThis role requires extensive travel; you should be comfortable with 50% time on the road, with peaks and troughs dependent upon the technical conference season.\n\nJob Duties\n\n\n* Present about the Elastic product line and related topics at conferences (e.g. DevOps Days, Monitorama, and OSCON) and meetups, including technical demos\n\n* Keep finger on the pulse of tech trends, particularly in the DevOps world, and report back to the organization\n\n* Work with community to create configuration management artifacts (e.g. Ansible playbooks, Chef cookbooks, and Puppet modules) for our product stack as well as logstash plugins\n\n* Create programs to share the Elastic product story with our community, such as podcasts, community hangouts and/or office hours\n\n* Author content on our technology and ecosystem products for our blog and technical media outlets\n\n* Interact and build relationships with community members virtually and in person\n\n* Recruit user group organizers and speakers\n\n* Identify and amplify user success stories\n\n* Bring these stories to our community through technical editing, etc.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
