\nAs a core member of the Data Engineering team, we will rely on your experience and expertise to help us scale and grow rapidly.  Your informed opinions on matters of best practices for data pipelines, knowledge about a variety of useful ELT tools, and mentorship of your peers will provide the foundation for our future growth as a company and as a team.\n\nWhat you will not be doing:\n\n\n* Streaming petabytes of data in real time\n\n* Tuning hyperparameters for Deep ML algorithms\n\n* 8 hours of meetings  a day\n\n* Optimizing the sales of useless trinkets on the internet\n\n\n\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\n\n* Examining and retooling all parts of our data pipeline with monthly batch jobs\n\n* Integrating Machine Models into meaningful projects with immediate impact\n\n* Mentoring a team of internally motivated, exceptionally intelligent, and extremely kind engineers\n\n* Making healthcare more affordable and higher quality for patients across the US (and maybe globally at some point)\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\n* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\n\n* 3+ years of experience in software or data engineering\n\n* Strong Python Experience\n\n* Strong SQL Experience\n\n* Experience developing workflows for an orchestration tool (Prefect, Airflow, etc)\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Expertise:\n\n\n* Working with high performance computing: Spark, Dask, multiprocessing, etc.\n\n* Transforming data processes for scalability\n\n* Leading/mentoring other engineers\n\n* Working with modern ELT tools\n\n* Implementing or migrating a data warehouse\n\n* Healthcare data, including Perioperative, Billing, and Claims\n\n\n
