Trans Lifeline

BIPOC Peer Support Leadership Fellow

BIPOC Peer Support Leadership Fellow

Trans Lifeline

Remote 6-month fellowship\nTotal stipend: $4000Β \nTime commitment: 10 hours / week, February-July\n\nTrans Lifeline runs a crisis and peer support hotline created by and for trans people. We were recently awarded a grant to create a 6-month stipended fellowship program to develop talented trans Black, Indigenous and other people of color (BIPOC) as crisis and peer support direct service providers for the trans community. This will be a small, cohesive cohort that will help fellows resource share, build community and expand their social network.\n\nFellows will be certified as peer and crisis support hotline operators using Trans Lifeline’s unique model. Interns will be assigned a senior Peer Mentor throughout their fellowship based on fit, skillset and organization need. Fellows will be expected to attend regular fellowship meetings to encourage team building and to continue networking within and outside the hotline. We value advancement and resource sharing as an organization and want to help develop our fellows well beyond their program. Our hope is that we can grow the next generation of peer support providers and support for the diverse needs of our marginalized communities. Our preference will be for fellows who have a strong commitment to do peer support work for the transgender community in the future.\n\nStipend for 6 month commitment: $4000, to be paid in bi-weekly installments. 10-hour weekly commitment consisting of project work and direct peer support service. \n\nMore information is available on our website.\nTrans Lifeline is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.\n
