Hello there!\nAre you ready for a really ambitious position as a senior front-end developer?\n\nAnd yes, the role is fully remote.\n\nLikvido is a (very) fast-growing startup. We are 25 employees now, and we have just raised a seed round to realize our huge ambitions for the coming years. \n\nWe’re now looking for a senior front-end developer that can bring our visuals, UI/UX and front-end stack to the next level.\n \n**So what are we doing?**\n\nWe’re helping small companies succeed.\n\nWe’ve built an “Invoice CRM” - imagine a system like Hubspot / Pipedrive / Salesforce, but for your invoices. You can assign workflows, add todos, write notes and much more. We’re currently only in Denmark, but the platform is international and ready to scale internationally in 2020.\n\nOn top of the “Invoice CRM”, we’re going to launch financial products. Imagine, when you create the invoice - we will automatically pay our client the majority of the invoice - RIGHT away! BEFORE their client even paid! How cool is that?\n\nThis is possible because we have full control of the payment flow, and we have a very large data-set our data scientists are using for transaction-level credit ratings. This makes it possible to only provide loans on low-risk invoices.\n\nThe goal is to help small companies succeed. We have ~1.500 customers right now, and we’re adding 1-200 customers every month. In a few years, we should have millions of invoices through the system every month.\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n Our platform is ~18 months old. We have a big monolith ASP.NET MVC application, combined with 4 solid ASP.NET Core microservices. The front-end is currently old-school and not very nice. We use a customized “Admin Bootstrap theme”, lots of Vue.js, unfortunately even more jQuery and some SASS / Grunt for CSS. \n\n**We’re not proud of this**, and we need someone who’s really awesome that can clean up this mess while delivering features and redesigns!\n\nWe’re 6 full-time fully, remote developers, and 3 part-timers. We plan to double the team in 2020.\n\n**The job:**\nBeing a senior front-end developer, your job is to:\n\n* Implement new visual changes (HTML + CSS + JavaScript preferably in Vue.js)\n* Be responsible for the front-end technical stack in the solution\n* Make sure we adopt component design and start to make “nice and reuseable” UI components around the site\n* Make code-reviews and be responsible for the JavaScript & HTML+CSS in the solution\n\nYou will participate in sprints like all other developers but will have a higher percentage of “clean-up” tasks. We know we have to redesign our front-end stack, and we will provide at least 25-35% of your available time to do this. When we make new features, we also expect it will be implemented properly. \n\n# Requirements\nWe’re looking for someone who can say “YES!” to the following:\n\n* I’m a senior front-end with many years of experience\n* I have multiple years of experience building a modern JavaScript stack. I’m familiar with build tools such as Webpack/Rollup and know how to set them up to use the latest JS features (ESNext) and new CSS specs. \n* I’m up-to-date on the latest JS & CSS specs and know best practices around modern state management (Redux, GraphQL).\n* I know how to set up a modern stack that makes use of client-side routing and offers all the things you’d expect from a modern SPA, such as offline-support, service workers, push notifications, etc.\n* Bonus: I’m familiar with useful helper tools (such as storybook, JSDocs) that help me build & document my components in an efficient and team-friendly way\n* I’m cool with spending at least 2 weeks per year (preferably 4-6 weeks) in the Copenhagen office, starting with a week when hired\n* You’re cool with working on Windows. The application is currently limited to Visual Studio on Windows machines, meaning this is a requirement - unfortunately. We will get this to .NET Core and therefore OSX during 2020, but not when you start the job :( sorry!\n \nSo without further ado: If you consider yourself a top front-end developer, and feel like having a very ambitious role is the next step in your career - APPLY!\n \n\n#Salary\n$$55,000\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

If you have a soft spot for bootstrapped, profitable, remote companies with a meaningful product, and you want to use your frontend development skills for good, you’ll like this.\n\n**About us:**\n\nDrops’ goal is to turn language learning into a delightful game while ensuring effective learning. Drops is one of the top10 most innovative education companies according to FastCompany. Our app is in the Appstore for 3+ years, teaches 35 languages, was featured by both the App Store and Play Store multiple times - App of the Year in 2018 on the Play Store - and the company is still run by the founders. We are a small, super-capable remote team mainly spread across Europe (we have a small marketing crew in California) . We’re working synchronously, so time zones matter for us. We communicate via Slack, Github and Monday. We want to be the no.1 app for vocabulary learning and we are getting there quickly with our current user base of 18 million, a monthly active of >1,500,000 and an average store rating of 4.7.\n\nYou can find us here: [https://languagedrops.com](https://languagedrops.com)\n\n**About you:**\n\nYou’ll be a core part of the development team, working on both our main (Drops) and auxiliary products (Droplets, Visual Dictionary, Internal CMS tools). This means a lot of ownership, which we cultivate by having a flat structure.\n\nYou’re a no-nonsense person, who is comfortable taking on larger projects, who has been working in working at a product company and has extensive front-end development experience.\n\nYou have been working with React or React Native for years, have deep knowledge of everything that’s happening in the browser or in a mobile client and looking for challenges in growing a product from an already large userbase to tens of millions of MAU, with all the complexity that’s involved in that.\n\nYou strongly prefer static typing over dynamic languages, and use every opportunity to transform code that doesn’t use types into code that does. You generally prefer to use a minimal set of simple tools to a diverse range of complex ones.\n\nYou like to have a variety of projects - at this job, you’ll be developing a complex web app, a static site generator (react-static), building internal automation infrastructure/tools and contributing to our internal content management system.\n\nWe’re building a small, but super capable team. You’re naturally more interested in the fate of the product & driven to grow professionally than in managing people.\n\nWe value clear and honest communication and transparency, it’s the linchpin of our culture and current success and freedom. You will be involved in both high and low level decision making and will be available during European working hours (9AM - 6PM GMT).\n\nWe are looking for a missionary rather than a mercenary.\n\n**What’d be different here:**\n\n* We’re a small team. We’re optimising for impact, not for headcount. You’ll be carefully considering any tradeoff that would lead to increased complexity.\n* We’re using a single programming language - TypeScript. We have strict linter rules. Every pull request needs to be approved before it lands in master. We use the rebase workflow.\n* We’re using React + Redux to develop UI, on both mobile and the web. We use selectors extensively. Our backend is on AWS, deployed to Lambda.\n* We’re doing things in a functional way, concentrating state, minimising side effects and making dependencies explicit. We’re sharing 98%+ of the code between Android, iOS and Web.\n* We’re writing software with a web developer’s mindset.\n* We automate where it has positive ROI.\n* Our biggest challenge is (and will remain): managing the complexity of sharing a lot of code between different apps.\n* We’re not building a hierarchy. We’re encouraging everyone to be autonomous.\n\n# Responsibilities\n **You will:**\n\n* Work cross functionally with our designer / data analyst / backend developer / project owner to define, scope, estimate and plan various aspects of the product.\n* Work independently and with other engineers to develop new web experiences..\n* Support of production applications / sites that you’ve built or helped to build.\n* Communicate effectively and often to ensure that everyone is aligned. \n\n# Requirements\n**You have:**\n\n* At least 5 years of experience in software (product) development.\n* At least 2 years of experience in building with React or React Native.\n* Experience architecting and developing complex web or mobile apps and static sites.\n* Some experience in understanding basic funnels, and collaborating with support to resolve user-facing issues.\n* Project management experience (everyone is managing projects at Drops).\n* Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functionally.\n* Experienced in strongly typed languages, and/or Typescript/Flow. \n\n#Salary\n$$50,000\n\n\n#Location\nEuropean time zones

**Tribe - a global sports startup based** in New Zealand and the Czech Republic is hiring a developer. **We're looking for talented Javascript developer **(can be either backend, frontend or full stack). **We're a 100% remote team, and have both revenue and traction.**\n\nTribe is a single destination for sport that is changing how people follow and consume sports results, news and information.\n\n# Responsibilities\n **Responsibilities for backend developer:**\n\nSpeed and accurate information is everything in the sports results world. As we're growing, the API and other services are becoming slower. We need to optimise, cache data, rewrite parts and build tools that help us identify weak spots. The challenge is that most of the time there is relatively little traffic, but during the busy times (when big games are on, largely over the weekend) our usage sky-rockets and the servers are unable to cope. \n\n**Responsibilities for frontend developer:**\n\nBesides the free consumer app (Ionic) we provide widgets (React) to big media partners (news media, broadcasters, betting agencies), who put these in their apps and on their websites. We're planning to build a web version of Tribe and the vision is to have one codebase for app / web / widget in React. \n\n# Requirements\n- Awesome JavaScript skills.\n- Frontend: experience with React apps (ideally big ones).\n- Backend: experience with micro service NodeJS architecture, AWS and MongoDB.\n- Proactive, ability to work independently - we're a small, remote dev team.\n- Willing to learn new things!\n\n**Offering:**\n\n- Work remotely from anywhere in the world.\n- Opportunity to work on an interesting product, with a global reach and user base.\n- Compensation negotiable based on experience.\n- Potential for equity.\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

**ABOUT US**\n\nAt [Close](https://close.com/), we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of ~33 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.\n\nOur app’s frontend is a single-page JavaScript web app mostly written in React (originally built with Backbone.js). We bundle with Webpack and target only modern browsers. We test with Enzyme and Mocha run via Puppeteer. Our UI updates in near real-time and is written in LESS/CSS (with flexbox and grid layout) using BEM methodology and takes advantage of fun technologies like Websockets and WebRTC. \n\nWe care about performance (e.g. route-based code splitting), maintainability, and testability of our frontend code. We sweat the UI/UX details and work collaboratively with the Product team throughout the design process. This means diving into lo-fi Freehand wireframes, and communicating continuously when those ideas are brought to life using Sketch/Abstract and code.\n\nOur frontend app is built on top of our REST API & GraphQL endpoints. Our backend tech stack consists of Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our services in Docker on AWS.\n\nWe ❤ open source – using dozens of open source projects with contributions to many of them, and released some of our own like [Microphone Recorder to Mp3](https://github.com/closeio/mic-recorder-to-mp3), [filevalidator.js,](https://github.com/closeio/filevalidator.js) [addresscompiler](https://github.com/closeio/addresscompiler), [backbone.mousetrap](https://github.com/closeio/backbone.mousetrap) and more at [Close Github](https://github.com/closeio). \n\n**ABOUT YOU**\n\nWe're looking for an experienced full-time Frontend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. Someone who has a solid understanding of web technologies and wants to help design, implement, and launch major user-facing features.\n\nYou should have senior level experience (~5 years) building modern frontend applications in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with at least 3 years of that experience using a JS framework (React, Vue, Angular, Backbone etc).\n\nYou should have significant experience designing, debugging, and optimizing frontend applications to make them fast and reliable. You have significant experience with REST APIs and thoroughly understand HTTP requests. You have experience participating in code reviews and providing overall code quality suggestions to help maintain the structure and quality of the codebase.\n\nYou should have great product sense and be able to think through user experience issues before diving into the code, and you exhibit a love for great UI.\n\nYou’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small and talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively and collaborate in a fully distributed team.\n\nYou are located in an American or European time zone.\n\n**BONUS POINTS IF YOU**\n* Experience implementing real-time (e.g. websockets, polling, etc.) web apps\n* Experience working with GraphQL endpoints\n* An eye for design and experience with Sketch, Abstract, Photoshop, or similar\n* Led small project teams building and launching features\n* Contributed open source code (core or plugins) for a popular frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular\n* Built B2B SaaS products\n* Experience with sales or sales tools\n\n**COME HELP US WITH PROJECTS LIKE**\n* Conceiving, designing, building, and launching new user-facing features\n* Working with Twilio's API, WebSockets, and WebRTC to improve our calling features\n* Building user-facing analytics features that provide actionable insights based on sales activity data\n* Improving real-time collaboration user experience\n* Expanding our frontend GraphQL usage\n* Extending our React component library\n\n**WHY WORK WITH US?**\n* 100% Remote (*we believe in trust and autonomy*)\n* 2 x Annual Team Retreats ([Lisbon Retreat Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKjyXMz-q-Q&feature=youtu.be))\n* Competitive salary\n* Medical, Dental with HSA option - 99% premiums paid *(US residents)*\n* 5 Weeks PTO + 6 Government Holidays + Dec 24 - Jan 1 Company Holiday\n* Parental Leave *(10 wks primary caregiver / 4 wks secondary caregiver)*\n* 401k matching at 4% *(US residents)*\n* [ Our story and team](https://close.com/about/)\n* [ Glassdoor Reviews ](https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Reviews/Close-Reviews-E1155591.htm)\n\nAt Close, everyone has a voice. Work/Life harmony is an important part of our organization - we believe you bring your best to work when you practice self care (whatever that looks like for you).\n\nWe come from 12 countries and 14 states; a collection of talented humans rich in diverse backgrounds, lifestyles and cultures. We've carefully planned and iterated on an onboarding that quickly equips you with the technical knowledge, remote friendships and tips and tricks you need to feel at home and do your best work at Aula.\n\n### How we think about remote 📱\n\nWe see remote work as a creative constraint that forces us to think about what the ideal workplace looks like:\n\n> When 'mobile' became important, their small screens forced product managers, designers and engineers to rethink user interfaces - to remove clutter. This ended up affecting how people built desktop web pages. In the same way, remote work forces us to rethink work in a way that we think many standard office-based workplace could benefit from.\n\n### Benefits\n- **Personal development is part of being 'a high performer'.** You're supported in, and accountable for, your personal growth. You set the direction.\n- **Shared ownership:** Joining the Aula journey means you will own part of the company.\n- **Workspace**: Remote doesn't mean you have to work at home.\n- **Technology:** Get hooked up with the technology you need to do your best work.\n- **Free books:** Whatever you want to read.\n- **Family leave:** We offer enhanced family leave and pay - and a commitment to open, continuous communication.\n- **Travel stipends:** Go meet your colleagues.\n- **Flexible working:** We’re flexible about when and where you work as long as you have 4 hours of overlap with the workday in GMT.\n- **Company retreats**: Every 6 months, we meet up to connect, talk about big ideas and have fun.

If you have a soft spot for bootstrapped, profitable companies with a meaningful product, and you want to use your frontend development skills for good, you’ll like this.\n \n\nAbout us:\n\nDrops’ goal is to turn language learning into a delightful game while ensuring effective learning. We teach 31 languages, was featured by both the App Store and Play Store multiple times - and received the “Best of 2018” title this year! - and the company is still run by the founders. We are a small, super-capable remote team mainly spread across Europe. We’re working synchronously, so time zones matter for us. We communicate via Slack, Github and have releases multiple times a week.\nWe want to be the #1 app for vocabulary learning and we are getting there quickly with our current user base of 9 million, a monthly active of >1,000,000 and an average store rating of 4.7.\nYou can find us here: https://languagedrops.com\n \n\nAbout you:\n\nYou’ll be responsible for establishing Drops on the web, from a technical perspective. This means a lot of ownership, which we cultivate by having a flat structure.\n\nYou’re a no-nonsense person, who is comfortable taking on and managing multiple different projects at the same time, who has been working in working at a product company and has extensive front-end development experience.\n\nYou have been working with React for years, have deep knowledge of everything that’s happening in the browser and looking for challenges in growing a product from tens of thousands to millions of visitors per month.\n\nYou strongly prefer static typing over dynamic languages, and use every opportunity to transform code that doesn’t use types into code that does. You generally prefer to use a minimal set of simple tools to a diverse range of complex ones.\n\nWe’ve built our mobile app with react-native, so we can easily port it to the web and start sharing most of our code - and the challenges that this brings are of your interest.\n\nYou like to have a variety of projects - at this job, you’ll be developing a complex web app, a static site generator (gatsby), and even sometimes helping out on our marketing website, that’s being re-built with webflow. \n\nWe want everyone to see the big picture: this means you already pushed your boundaries outside of “being a developer” and are knowledgeable about web product growth frameworks, SEO, best practices regarding retention and monetization.\n\nWe’re building a small, but super capable team. You’re naturally more interested in the fate of the product & driven to grow professionally, than in managing people.\n\nWe value clear and honest communication and transparency, it’s the linchpin of our culture and current success and freedom. You will be involved in both high and low level decision making and will be available during European working hours (9AM - 6PM GMT).\n\nWe are looking for a missionary rather than a mercenary.\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n You will:\n* Work cross functionally with our designer / data analyst / backend developer / project owner to define, scope, estimate and plan various aspects of the product.\n* Work independently and with other engineers to develop new web experiences.\n* Support of production applications / sites that you’ve built or helped to build.\n* Communicate effectively and often to ensure that everyone is aligned. \n\n# Requirements\nYou have:\n* At least 4 years of experience in building web products.\n* At least 2 years of experience in building with React.\n* Experience in architecting and developing web apps and programmatically generated sites (static site generators, like gatsby) with with thousands of pages.\n* Experience in understanding basic funnels, and collaborating with support to resolve user-facing issues.\n* Strong understanding of SEO, and experience in optimising websites for Google.\n* Project management experience (everyone is managing projects at Drops).\n* Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functionally.\n* Experienced in strongly typed languages, and/or Typescript/Flow.\n
