**Remote | Flexible Hours | High Growth Tech Company | Fast-paced Team | Modern Technologies & Codebase | Leadership Opportunities**\n\n**About us** \n\nAffinda is a rapidly growing artificial intelligence company HQ’d in Melbourne, with a global presence. Our mission is simple – make AI that is better than humans at extracting insights and data from documents. \n\nWe are a world class team of software developers, data scientists and AI engineers. We build sophisticated AI solutions that leverage the latest advancements in natural language processing and image recognition. We’ve built out the infrastructure to rapidly develop customised AI solutions designed to read, understand and process unstructured data. \n\nOur solutions are trusted by over 500 companies across the world, included in the ASX 100 and Fortune 500. \n\n**About the role** \n\nOne of our products is Draftable, a simple yet sophisticated solution that makes it easy for anyone to review changes to business documents. Our users compare millions of documents each year across our web service, desktop software and developer API. \n\nYou will be the technical lead for the front-end of our Draftable product suite, including our intuitive comparison viewer sitting at the centre of each user’s experience. \n\nYou will be working with our Product Lead and other team members to prioritise and build features. You will spend at least 80% of your time thinking about how to implement things and writing code. \n\nWe are growing rapidly, so there are plenty of opportunities for career growth. We expect you to take an active role in evolving our engineering culture. Over time, we expect you to be a pivotal member in leading front-end projects across Affinda. \n\nThis role can potentially be done at two levels: Lead software engineer or Staff software engineer. \n\nThis role can be performed fully remotely, or if you are based in Melbourne, you are welcome at our new office across from Fed Square. \n\n**About you** \n\n* You are either an expert front-end developer or an experienced full-stack developer. (We are all about adding great people to the team, rather than finding someone who fits perfectly into a fixed slot.) \n\n* You have 5+ years of experience with front-end development (Typescript, JS/ES6, CSS, HTML) \n\n* You have 2+ years of experience with React or a similar framework \n\n* You are a great communicator. You appreciate the importance of clear communication, especially when working with a remote team. \n\n* You are independent and self-reliant. You are happy working on a task by yourself, but you will take initiative to involve other team members when necessary \n\n* You have a high attention to detail. You are intimately familiar with the complexities of web development, e.g. mobile responsiveness, browser compatibility \n\n* You have a great sense of design. You like building software that delights users.  \n\n* You have experience being the technical lead of a project and are comfortable both planning/architecting as well as diving into code as an individual contributor. \n\n* You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and can participate in an English-only work environment\n\n**About our culture** \n\nWe are a small, friendly team of experienced professionals, and trust is at the core of our culture. We are all great at what we do and appreciate the value of working with highly competent peers. Collaboration is key to our success, and our flat structure ensures that we reach decisions quickly. We love to get things done. \n\nOur development process is product-led. We are agile (but not Agile). We like short milestones. We launch things as soon as they’re ready. We like iterating based off user feedback. We do things right the first time, even if it takes a little longer. We don’t have much technical debt. We like good documentation. From time to time we promise a feature to customer, but we otherwise don’t have many external deadlines. \n\nWe understand you have a life outside work and we will respect your non-working and family time. \n\nOur core collaboration hours are 12pm-8pm AEST (GMT+10). You will need to have at least 3 hours overlap.\n\nOur services are very stable, and we haven’t had any critical incidents over the last year that required urgent attention from someone in this role. \n\nAffinda is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a team that represents a diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, skills and experiences.  \n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$100,000 — $140,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Radix DLT is hiring a Remote Senior Front End Engineer

#What is the job?\n\nNo matter how powerful and flexible you build a platform, at the end of the day it’s the tools you present to the user that define the experience. Radix is seeking a savvy UX expert to come build the experiences that will define the future of decentralized finance (DeFi).\n\nDeFi has turned out to be the killer app that is taking public distributed ledgers from niche products for speculators and hobbyists to projects of global economic significance, and with it has come a new paradigm for user interfaces. Authentication models, interoperability expectations, and the entire concept of user accounts are all undergoing dramatic changes; at Radix you’ll have the opportunity to define the way forward while working at the very cutting edge of a space undergoing furious growth.\n\nWorking from a series of end-to-end user scenarios, you will wireframe delightful user experiences and pitch your design to a team of brilliant folks who care very deeply about the end result. Next, you’ll work with artists and UI experts to produce a consumable design with appropriate fonts, colors and iconography, after which you’ll move on to implementation with a small team. You’ll be primarily focused on delivering the front-end, but expect a healthy dose of implementing the requisite services you will consume, as well.\n\n#What are we looking for?\n\nYou’re able to isolate the 90% case for user experiences. You think in terms of making the most common interactions effortless, rather than making anything possible.\nWhen discussing new capabilities, your first instinct is to think of the user story rather than the feature set.\nYou don’t get wedded to ideas. You’re not reluctant to throw prototypes away when something isn’t working.\nYou’re a confident coder who has built public-facing user interfaces in the past. You have some experience building REST services and/or WebSocket backends.\nYou’re intelligent and learn quickly. Absolutely no one at Radix winds up only doing what’s in their job description, and adaptability is essential.\n\n#What do you need?\n\n4+ years as a professional software engineer\n\nFluent in JavaScript and TypeScript\n\nFluent with React or Vue\n\nComfortable with Java or C#\n\nA love for all things crypto is a huge plus!\n\n#Who are we?\n\nAt Radix, we're a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that we're living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. DeFi has captured a great deal of attention and investment in the crypto-aware niche, growing assets under management from $1 billion to $40 billion in less than a year. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isn't even a rounding error on the over $111 trillion held in traditional finance. We're focused on what it will take to go from billions to trillions.\n\nRadix went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solution—the first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFi—and we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. We're keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and we're also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.\n\nWe have forged a path deep into the future of what distributed ledger technology is going to look like and we need you to come and be part of the team that is making that happen right now. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$70,000 — $120,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

At [Saga](https://saga.so), we are looking for multiple Full Stack Engineers to join our Engineering team. We are a small (but growing) remote company building a platform to connect knowledge and give teams contextual information at a glance.\n\nWhat makes Saga different is the ability to author content while having an overview of any piece of information that might be relevant to your current work.\n\n### What working for our Engineering Team will be:\n\n* We will explore two core directions in the next year: 1) make Saga the best tool for teams to collaborate on knowledge creation; 2) integrate Saga with external tools to allow teams to have an overview of their extended knowledge.\n* No stone left unturned: as we’re a small team collaborating on every issue, expect to touch every part of the product at some point, from frontend to backend to scaling our infrastructure. This doesn’t mean you need to know it all already. Every team member brings in their unique expertise, and we all learn from each other.\n* Collaboration over individual contribution. We collaborate most of the time over video. This means pair programming and deciding as a group how to move forward with any issue. Every two weeks, we decide together what to focus on, then we tackle those problems together to completion.\n* Flexible working hours. We strive to work together as much as possible to increase our collective throughput, but you will be able to set your own schedule and adjust your hours depending on your needs.\n* You will face hard technical challenges. We need to scale our product to digest information of ever-increasing orders of magnitude while keeping the user experience as simple as it can be.\n* Customer-facing, always. We have communities on Discord, Slack, and Reddit, you will be able to assess directly user feedback and iterate on it.\nOpen-source. We support and actively contribute to open source libraries that power Saga. You will have a chance to work on software that will be used by the open-source community at large.\n\n### What we’re looking for:\n\n* You have experience with (or interest in) React, Typescript, Node.js. Optionally, you have experience with GraphQL, Postgres, Firebase.\n* Bonus points if you have experience with one of: indexing and search engines; managing infrastructure at scale; CRDTs, and real-time collaboration libraries.\n* You know how to start a project from scratch. You have built an impressive side project, led a project in your day job or at school or you have been a founder before.\n* You think product-first. You want to create something used and loved by millions and are careful about shipping with customers in mind.\n* You can use your communication skills to make remote work a joy. You will seldomly see your colleagues in person, therefore communication is key. We document everything we do, and strive to have an open communication culture.\n\n### What we offer in return:\n\n- Generous compensation and employee-friendly equity options in Saga\n- 25 days paid vacation days on top of public holidays in your country\n- Flexible working hours\n- Home office equipment\n- Team retreats every few months in beautiful locations around the world (depending on Covid situation)\n\nPlease note that benefits may vary by country. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask us.\n\n### Diversity and inclusion:\n\nWe think diversity makes any company the best company it can be. We believe different backgrounds mean different points of view that can make us stronger and more robust as a company. We welcome people who are not afraid to challenge assumptions. We all live in different countries, speak different languages, have been or still are immigrants ourselves. We all had unorthodox careers, before starting Saga.\n\nNo matter where you come from or what your background is, we want to hear from you! \n\nIf you have any disability that might impact the interview process, please let us know if there’s any way we can make it better for you! \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$60,000 — $80,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

This job post is closed and the position is probably filled. Please do not apply.
We built Metabase because existing tools for business intelligence didn’t feel like things we wanted to use. We wanted faster, simpler ways to ask questions about data, and wanted to strip away the colder feel of most Enterprise software. Folks seemed to agree, and now Metabase is used daily by tens of thousands of companies to give people in all sorts of roles access to insights they wouldn’t have otherwise had. None of this could happen without our user interface and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for someone with strong product sensibilities, extraordinarily good frontend skills, and solid software engineering fundamentals to join our team to advance the state of the art in our product and our industry.\n\n*Why choose Metabase*\n- The problems we face are genuinely interesting and aren’t trivial. Data influences so much of our world but isn’t that easy to interact with or understand. You’ll make tools that people rely on for their real jobs.\n- You’ll get to work in open source and get feedback directly from users and customers out in the open.\n- The company is growing and so is the business. We’re adding new remote team members from around the world and improving our processes. It’s an exciting time and you can really have an impact on how things work here.\n- We’ve tried to design our work environment to fit into real life. Work is only one part of who you are, so we emphasize reasonable workdays and prefer planning and avoiding panic. People at Metabase have families, dogs, plants, and lives outside of work and we try to support that however we can.\\n\n*What we’re looking for*:\n- You **care about crafting delightful user experiences**. You like to write code to enable people to do something and you understand that details and things like copy matter. If your focus is only on code this might not be the best role for you.\n- Prior **experience shipping non-trivial apps using React + Redux (or equivalent)**. Our front end is written in React (surprise!), so you’ll need really strong React and JavaScript knowledge to build fast and thoughtful user interfaces.\n- You have experience **writing tests, giving good feedback on other people’s code**, and writing proposals for more complicated problems that are thoughtful and clear. As we’re a remote company (even outside of pandemics) **communication and clarity are really important**.\n- Due to the nature of what we work on, computer science-y problems come up frequently. We’re not picky about a specific degree or accolade, but you’ll be expected to **write fast and performant code** and deal with a fair bit of **data structure manipulation** regularly.\n- We like everyone to care about the nuts and bolts of how to make things look good, so you’ll be expected to use our style guide and if necessary write or update our CSS, **so comfort in CSS and familiarity with things like design systems and component libraries is a necessity**.\n- You’ve worked on a large and complex JavaScript project. Metabase is a big product and code base so the **ability to adapt existing code and integrate new code into established systems** is important and you should feel comfortable digging in.\n\n*Not essential, but nice to have*:\n- Knowledge and prior experience with data visualization (especially if it has involved dc.js and d3.js).\n- Previous contributions to open source (not a requirement, but a huge plus).\n- Either pre-existing knowledge or interest in learning some Clojure, the language much of the backend of our application is written in.\n\n*The types of problems you'd get to work on*:\n- Lightning fast interaction with data. Think things like letting people see all the orders that came in from a specific region by clicking directly on a custom map of their sales regions and then letting them filter that list visually by directly interacting with the data table - and all of this happening in a responsive and delightful way.\n- Augmenting visualizations. To allow for people to further institutional knowledge, build the feature to allow annotations directly on specific data points in a line chart, and then determine how to expose those when it makes sense across dashboards and the entire app.\n- Wayfinding. We want to make sure people don’t have to do work that’s already been done, so build new ways to surface important metrics or segments to the right users across Metabase.\n- Embedded analytics. We have customers who deliver analytics to their own users via our embed product. You’d get to tackle the problem of making sure those can match their own products visually and enable easier integration of the embeds into their own code.\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

We resent repetition and inefficiency, and we never hesitate to automate the things that cause us friction. Here's a sampling of the languages and tools we work with:\n\n- **[Python](https://www.python.org/) for the backend.** Our [core open source](https://www.github.com/splitgraph/splitgraph) tech is written in Python (with [a bit of C](https://github.com/splitgraph/Multicorn) to make it more interesting), as well as most of our backend code. The Python code powers everything from authentication routines to database migrations. We use the latest version and tools like [pytest](https://docs.pytest.org/en/stable/), [mypy](https://github.com/python/mypy) and [Poetry](https://python-poetry.org/) to help us write quality software.\n\n- **[TypeScript](https://www.typescriptlang.org/) for the web stack.** We use TypeScript throughout our web stack. On the frontend we use [React](https://reactjs.org/) with [next.js](https://nextjs.org/). For data fetching we use [apollo-client](https://www.apollographql.com/docs/react/) with fully-typed GraphQL queries auto-generated by [graphql-codegen](https://graphql-code-generator.com/) based on the schema that [Postgraphile](https://www.graphile.org/postgraphile) creates by introspecting the database.\n\n- [**PostgreSQL](https://www.postgresql.org/) for the database, because of course.** Splitgraph is a company built around Postgres, so of course we are going to use it for our own database. In fact, we actually have three databases. We have `auth-db` for storing sensitive data, `registry-db` which acts as a [Splitgraph peer](https://www.splitgraph.com/docs/publishing-data/push-data) so users can push Splitgraph images to it using [sgr](https://www.github.com/splitgraph/splitgraph), and `cloud-db` where we store the schemata that Postgraphile uses to autogenerate the GraphQL server.\n\n- [**PL/pgSQL](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/plpgsql.html) and [PL/Python](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/plpython.html) for stored procedures.** We define a lot of core business logic directly in the database as stored procedures, which are ultimately [exposed by Postgraphile as GraphQL endpoints](https://www.graphile.org/postgraphile/functions/). We find this to be a surprisingly productive way of developing, as it eliminates the need for manually maintaining an API layer between data and code. It presents challenges for testing and maintainability, but we've built tools to help with database migrations and rollbacks, and an end-to-end testing framework that exercises the database routines.\n\n- [**PostgREST](https://postgrest.org/en/v7.0.0/) for auto-generating a REST API for every repository.** We use this excellent library (written in [Haskell](https://www.haskell.org/)) to expose an [OpenAPI](https://github.com/OAI/OpenAPI-Specification)-compatible REST API for every repository on Splitgraph ([example](http://splitgraph.com/mildbyte/complex_dataset/latest/-/api-schema)).\n\n- **Lua ([luajit](https://luajit.org/luajit.html) 5.x), C, and [embedded Python](https://docs.python.org/3/extending/embedding.html) for scripting [PgBouncer](https://www.pgbouncer.org/).** Our main product, the "data delivery network", is a single SQL endpoint where users can query any data on Splitgraph. Really it's a layer of PgBouncer instances orchestrating temporary Postgres databases and proxying queries to them, where we load and cache the data necessary to respond to a query. We've added scripting capabilities to enable things like query rewriting, column masking, authentication, ACL, orchestration, firewalling, etc.\n\n- **[Docker](https://www.docker.com/) for packaging services.** Our CI pipeline builds every commit into about a dozen different Docker images, one for each of our services. A production instance of Splitgraph can be running over 60 different containers (including replicas).\n\n- **[Makefile](https://www.gnu.org/software/make/manual/make.html) and** [docker-compose](https://docs.docker.com/compose/) **for development.** We use [a highly optimized Makefile](https://www.splitgraph.com/blog/makefile) and `docker-compose` so that developers can easily spin-up a stack that mimics production in every way, while keeping it easy to hot reload, run tests, or add new services or configuration.\n\n- **[Nomad](https://www.nomadproject.io/) for deployment and [Terraform](https://www.terraform.io/) for provisioning.** We use Nomad to manage deployments and background tasks. Along with Terraform, we're able to spin up a Splitgraph cluster on AWS, GCP, Scaleway or Azure in just a few minutes.\n\n- **[Airflow](https://airflow.apache.org/) for job orchestration.** We use it to run and monitor jobs that maintain our catalog of [40,000 public datasets](https://www.splitgraph.com/blog/40k-sql-datasets), or ingest other public data into Splitgraph.\n\n- **[Grafana](https://grafana.com/), [Prometheus](https://prometheus.io/), [ElasticSearch](https://www.elastic.co/), and [Kibana](https://www.elastic.co/kibana) for monitoring and metrics.** We believe it's important to self-host fundamental infrastructure like our monitoring stack. We use this to keep tabs on important metrics and the health of all Splitgraph deployments.\n\n- **[Mattermost](https://mattermost.com/) for company chat.** We think it's absolutely bonkers to pay a company like Slack to hold your company communication hostage. That's why we self-host an instance of Mattermost for our internal chat. And of course, we can deploy it and update it with Terraform.\n\n- **[Matomo](https://matomo.org/) for web analytics.** We take privacy seriously, and we try to avoid including any third party scripts on our web pages (currently we include zero). We self-host our analytics because we don't want to share our user data with third parties.\n\n- **[Metabase](https://www.metabase.com/) and [Splitgraph](https://www.splitgraph.com) for BI and [dogfooding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eating_your_own_dog_food)**. We use Metabase as a frontend to a Splitgraph instance that connects to Postgres (our internal databases), MySQL (Matomo's database), and ElasticSearch (where we store logs and DDN analytics). We use this as a chance to dogfood our software and produce fancy charts.\n\n- **The occasional best-of-breed SaaS services** **for organization.** As a privacy-conscious, independent-minded company, we try to avoid SaaS services as much as we can. But we still find ourselves unable to resist some of the better products out there. For organization we use tools like [Zoom](https://www.zoom.us) for video calls, [Miro](https://miro.com/) for brainstorming, [Notion](https://www.notion.so) for documentation (you're on it!), [Airtable for workflow management](https://airtable.com/), [PivotalTracker](https://www.pivotaltracker.com/) for ticketing, and [GitLab for dev-ops and CI](https://about.gitlab.com/).\n\n- **Other fun technologies** including [HAProxy](http://www.haproxy.org/), [OpenResty](https://openresty.org/en/), [Varnish](https://varnish-cache.org/), and bash. We don't touch them much because they do their job well and rarely break.\n\n# Life at Splitgraph\n**We are a young company building the initial team.** As an early contributor, you'll have a chance to shape our initial mission, growth and company values.\n\n**We think that remote work is the future**, and that's why we're building a remote-first organization. We chat on [Mattermost](https://mattermost.com/) and have video calls on Zoom. We brainstorm with [Miro](https://miro.com/) and organize with [Notion](https://www.notion.so).\n\n**We try not to take ourselves too seriously**, but we are goal-oriented with an ambitious mission.\n\n**We believe that as a small company, we can out-compete incumbents** by thinking from first principles about how organizations interact with data. We are very competitive.\n\n# Benefits\n- Fully remote\n\n- Flexible working hours\n\n- Generous compensation and equity package\n\n- Opportunity to make high-impact contributions to an agile team\n\n# How to Apply? You like new challenges and strive to ship new features to customers on a regular basis.\n* Life long learner - You enjoy keeping up with the latest trends in frontend space. If a project uses a framework that’s new to you, you dive into the docs and tutorials to figure it out.\n* Have an owner mentality - When bugs appear, you document and fix them. When projects are too complex, you work with others to refine the scope until it’s something you believe can be built in a reasonable amount of time and maintained in the long run.\n* Care about code quality - You believe simple is better and strive to write code that is easy to read and maintain. You consider edge cases and write tests to handle them. When you come across legacy code that is difficult to understand, you add comments or refactor it to make it easier for the next person.\n* Balancing Act - Great products must balance performance, customer value, code quality, dependencies, and so on. You know how to consider all of these concerns while keeping your focus on shipping things.\n* The great communicator - If a project is off-track, you bring it up proactively and suggest ways to simplify and get things going. You proactively share status updates without being asked and strive to keep things as honest and transparent as possible.\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Raisely powers online fundraising for ambitious organisations, to improve the well-being of people and planet. While technology gets us part of the way, we know that we have our greatest impact when we’re helping our customers do incredible things with our product.\n\n**We're looking for a Front-end Engineer to join our growing team.** We want to find someone who is equal parts talented and passionate about delivering rich user interfaces. If you're the kind of person who tinkers with the latest library releases, and isn't scared of figuring something out for yourself, we want to hear from you.\n\n**We want you to become an integral part of our Engineering team. **You'll contribute to new features we're building, fix customer blocking bugs, help shape the architectural decisions in our front-end and share your knowledge with the rest of the engineering team.\n\n**This is a full-time, permanent role. ** Raisely is a 100% remote company.\n\n**Role:** Permanent, full-time (38hrs/week)\n**Location:** Remote (we’ll help you set up your home office!)\n**Timezone:** We'd like at least 2 hours crossover with Australian working hours (9am - 5pm AEST)\n\n## In a normal week of the role, you will:\n* Contribute to a collaborative feature with the rest of the team. You might be building out a new block for Raisely users to add to their campaigns, building some UI components in our admin panel to configure the new feature, or working with another developer to figure out the shape of a payload to send to the API\n\n* Put your hand up to fix a couple of bugs that have been flagged by the customer success team as issues that are affecting a large number of customers\n\n* Help out with a technical support question that has come via the support team and needs stepping through the code to understand\n\n* Review a handful of PRs submitted by your teammates\n\n* Meet with the engineering team to discuss our ongoing project and talk through any problems you're experiencing or opportunities you've identified to improve the feature during the week\n\n* Share a new library or paradigm that you've found that would be a good addition or replacement in our front-end stack\n\n* Be willing to jump in and investigate if our monitoring alerts us that the production service is experiencing higher than usual latency\n\n* _Improve anything._ Your job description doesn’t end with these bullet points.\n\n## Perks and benefits:\nWe hope you’re excited by our unique product offering, our team and what we’re trying to achieve. But, to sweeten the deal, we offer these great benefits:\n\n💵 **Salary** – We try to pay above-average salaries. This role pays AU$88,000 a year. (Including super for Australian residents)\n\n🏥 **Healthcare** – We will contribute up to US$3000 towards health insurance if you live somewhere without a public health system.\n\n📈 **Ownership** – We are focussed on building Raisely as a team, so we’ll offer you the chance to be a part-owner of the company with our Employee Share Scheme\n\n💻 **Technology** – We’ll get you a laptop and screen when you start, plus help you set up your home office.\n\n✈️ **Retreats** – Every 6-ish months we fly you somewhere pretty for our team retreats. (Once we’re able to safely again)\n\n🗺 **Annual Leave** – Everyone gets 4 weeks paid leave plus 11 days of public holidays, to be taken when you like. Plus, you are entitled to generous paid sick leave.\n\n🌴 **Work remotely** – We’re a remote-first company - live and work wherever you’re happiest. We’ll cover a co-working space if you’d like to work there.\n\n⏰ **Flexibility** – Adjust your hours as you need, within the window set above.\n\n🤷 **Training** – We’ll support you with time when you want to learn new skills or pay for conference or course tickets.\n\n\n## Why Raisely?\n\n**We’re actively working to improve the world**\nWe’re an impact-driven company, we’re here to improve the wellbeing of people and planet. Helping charities raise money online is our greatest lever for change. We hold strong opinions, and respectfully refuse to work with people we disagree with. We’re a registered B-Corp, and are working to become carbon neutral.\n\n**We’re remote, and growing**\nWhile our roots are Australian, our team hails from all over the world. You’ll be joining colleagues in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico. If you haven’t worked remotely before, you’ll love the flexibility and won’t want to go back.\n\n**We’re young, innovate and ambitious**\nYou’re joining us just at the start of our journey. We’ve been growing rapidly, but we’re just getting started. We want to help charities all over the world raise more online, through powerful technology paired with world-class customer support. We’re not settling for average.\n\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n * You're a capable front-end engineer, you produce high quality interfaces and components and consider the various permutations and edge-cases while you're writing code.\n\n* You're self motivated, you don't need a manager to check in and direct your workflow, you'd prefer to work to broad expectations and manage your own time within that framework.\n\n* You're a finisher, you don't push up a PR and call it a day. You're happy to adjust that code in response to feedback, and prompt the team to help you see that code through to production.\n\n* You're a team player, you understand that balancing everyone's skills is preferable to siloing large chunks of work with one person. You're happy to collaborate on large features and the idea of contributing to a constantly changing codebase excites rather than scares you.\n\n* You're pragmatic. You understand that there's a balance between writing perfect code and actually shipping code. You can identify the right areas to persist and polish and the right areas to just get the job done.\n\n* You’re not comfortable with the status quo. You’re not in this for a quick dollar; you think the world needs to be better and that technology will get us there. \n\n# Requirements\n* Be a fluent English speaker with clear written and verbal communication\n* Have a deep understanding of React, or an equivalent front-end framework\n* Be able to legally work where you live (we can’t sponsor a visa)\n* Have proven experience building front-end applications independently at scale. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$88,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

\nScalable Path is looking for a Frontend React Developer for E-Commerce Analytics Product to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position, but the client is also open to part-time availability.\n\nThe pay rate for this role is from $30 - $50 USD per hour, depending on experience and capability.\n\nCLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:\nThe client is a SaaS startup backed by an established company with 50+ employees and over $100 million in annual revenue. The new product you will be working with has a smaller team and is focused on providing analytics and insights to companies who sell their products in marketplaces like Amazon.com and Walmart.com.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe client has an existing monolithic web application that is built using PostgreSQL, Python (Flask). There are essentially 6 user dashboards that communicate different types of e-commerce data to the user (sales, traffic, ad spending, ROI, sentiment analysis, etc.). The client is redesigning each of the 6 dashboards and customizing each one to display data in precisely the way that makes the most sense for the specific data being displayed on the given page. The UX designer is using Framer and has already completed the new design for one of the dashboards.\n\nYour job will be to implement the new designs while simultaneously converting the dashboard from a monolithic page that is rendered on the server to a React/Redux-based page that consumes an API. For this reason, if you have experience with Python and Flask this would be a big bonus since you could help with the development of the API as well if needed.\n\nThe client uses Git for source control, Notion for task tracking, and Slack, Gmail, and Hangouts for communication.\n\nOther Responsibilities:\n- Collaborate with QA to write unit and integration tests for React/Redux.\n- Recommend the right JavaScript libraries for things like testing and charting\n- Assist with high-level architectural decisions keeping in mind scale and growth.\n- Deploy code to staging and production environments.\n- Positively contribute to a solid mission and be a critical voice within the team.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:\nYou will be reporting to the VP of Product and working closely with a UX Designer. \nWe are looking for an engineer with a “find a way or make a way” attitude that is excited to join a small but growing team that has more projects than developers. This opportunity is for someone excited for autonomy, ownership, and breadth of responsibility. Quality of work and ownership are key qualities for this role.\n\nThis position requires a mastery of React and the JavaScript ecosystem. It's critical for success in this role to have a great eye for detail and a focus on quality. This position will be responsible for implementing pixel perfect front end designs. A focus on quality and advocating for best UX practices will be expected. PR/Code review and advocating for improving the quality of the technical code base will be an everyday responsibility. \n\nPLEASE NOTE WE CAN ONLY HIRE NORTH AMERICAN BASED PEOPLE AT THIS TIME.\n\nOur environment is typical of a start-up:\n\n\n* We work in small teams, fast-paced, we all get a lot done by everyone wearing many hats.\n\n* We are serious about optimizing our time and staying focused on the most important goals and outcomes.\n\n* We are a remote team and are completely on board with 100% remote work, meaning we focus on overcommunication to ensure we can stay in sync despite our physical distance.\n\n* We coordinate using Jira, hold a daily standup, and mostly communicate via ad hoc video calls and Slack.\n\n* We’re building lots of new things, but also maintaining a significant business.  We are mindful of the balance and need to monitor and pay down tech debt and also innovate with exciting greenfield projects.\n\n* We require a daily overlap with the team but are spread across North America\n\n\n\n\nWe’re a hybrid stack\n\n\n* Our “NextGen” technology is written in .NET Core, NodeJS and React.  Our “Core” platform, which is being replaced by NextGen,  is AngularJS (aka Angular 1) and ASP.NET.\n\n* We’re looking for senior talent to contribute to our Core platform as well as NextGen.\n\n\n\n\nSome of the technology/experience we are looking for\n\n\n* React\n\n* GraphQL \n\n* Typescript\n\n* antd\n\n* Testing (Unit/integration/End to End)\n\n* CSS/LESS\n\n* A keen eye for implementing and occasionally improving design\n\n\n\n\nBuild something challenging.\n\nThis isn't just another CRUD application. Your challenge will be to deliver a highly-available service with complex business logic being used by hundreds of businesses 24/7 to keep their operations running.  Our entity model is vast and a major part of our domain is synchronizing data with third party traceability systems. Explore the limits of your resourcefulness by designing human and automated systems that deliver consistent performance, reliability and scale whilst working with less-than-ideal third-party requirements and systems.\n\nOther Details.\n\n\n* We are a fully remote company and this position will be remote.\n\n* We are looking for someone who is ready to join us full-time after a brief trial period (all our employees do this).\n\n* We offer health benefits, 401k, unlimited time off, charity matching, and other cool perks. \n\n* We are offering an annual salary in the range of $110,000 - $130,000 USD.\n\n\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Likely worldwide

\nScalable Path is looking for a Frontend React and HTML5 Developer with Canvas/SVG experience to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, part-time position (approximately 4 hours/day).\n\nCLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:\nThe client runs a podcast production web app that helps anyone to create their own podcast in the easiest way possible.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nYou will be creating an Audio Player and Editor Tool for use in a Podcast Creation Web App as the first primary task.\n\nThe aim of this project is to build an audio player and editor, in the browser, which will allow users to import audio, edit out mistakes, split their clips and layer music, and voice in a multitrack interface.\n\nThe client has a limited version of this functionality currently operating in their existing web app built on React and Node. They use the [Wavesurfer plugin](https://wavesurfer-js.org/) to play audio and to offer an audio editing interface.\n\nIt's good at a basic level, but there are a number of limitations which they're struggling with, detailed in this spec, so they'd like to either (a) build their own browser-based audio player tool to replace it, and improve upon it, or (b) fork the current wavesurfer version and build their own custom version to overcome the limitations. Wavesurfer is built in HTML5 Canvas, and it seems to be the best solution for this type of work, but the client is open to other ideas.\n\nThe stages of this project are as follows:\n\nV1 - Build their own player/editor, or an improved/forked wavesurfer, which replicates the functionality we already offer, right now.\n\nV2 - Expand what they can do with edit regions on the current single-track version of wavesurfer.\n\nV3 - Change how they do editing/production by building a multitrack version, which allows for 2 layered tracks and editing on both.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:\nWorking with the CEO on the overall approach, reporting to their Lead Engineer, and working with 3 other developers. \nAbout SpiderOak\n\nWe want to change the world, and we’ve already done it once. SpiderOak has been building encrypted software since before the first iPhone was released.\n\nSpiderOak is committed to building secure and reliable software that protects our customers’ data. Our approach is fundamentally different from most mainstream security companies. Instead of adding layers of security on top of an insecure system, we build software that is inherently secure.\n\nHow are we different?\n\nSpiderOak builds need-to-know technology that supports customers working in hostile environments. Traditional systems trust IT infrastructure to maintain the whole security system, even though the news is rife with evidence that this model does not work. Our software combines end to end encryption with a distributed ledger (aka Blockchain) technology to offer best-in-class security with no backdoors.\n\nThe Distributed Ledger, SpiderOak Model\n\nA distributed ledger approach can provide compartmentalization of data that does not suffer from a single point of failure and is both fast and cost-effective. Compartments are defined using an irrefutable distributed ledger, enabling complete confidence in who is allowed to participate. Once the list of allowed users is defined, it becomes easy for those parties to negotiate shared encryption keys to secure the data being collaborated on.\n\nOur approach allows for the instant provisioning of cryptographically secure collaboration spaces for use in scenarios where certainty about who has access to that space is a mission requirement.\n\nAbout SpiderOak Engineering\n\nOur Engineering team is comprised of passionate and creative people who are committed to the premise that complexity is the enemy of security. The problem of security will not be solved by layering on more band-aids, e.g. firewalls, packet inspection, two-factor authentication, etc... these actually add complexity by increasing the attack surface. We take a fundamentally different approach by removing the need to trust your infrastructure or your admins through the combination of\n\n\n* Zero-trust systems and applied cryptography\n\n* Distributed ledger\n\n\n\n\nOur platform and applications – built on Go – enable our customers to collaborate and communicate securely, and we’re looking for growing the team to help us turn this ambitious vision into reality. Our culture is focused on productivity and creativity, and we’re committed to collaboration with our colleagues across the organization.\n\nJob Description\n\nRather than bore you with a long description, let’s cut to chase: your job is to create user interfaces using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML and other front-end technologies. Integration examples currently include: networking, crypto, key store, file management, and push notifications… but the list might grow as the user needs evolve.\n\nNOTE: Given the nature of our work, candidates must be US Citizens residing in the United States.\n\n#Location\n🌏 Likely worldwide

\nWe’re a small, startup dev team with a passion for the Church and making great things. We work hard, have fun, and are always improving.Because we’re all remote and a small shop, you must be self-motivated, able to manage your day-to-day schedule, and a very good communicator. You’ll have your hands in everything front end - prototyping, managing state, designing out components, testing your code, stylesheets, build & launch processes.\n\nIf you have a passion to help the Church, and if you enjoy dreaming up smart ways to solve problems and then watching your code come to life to make a real difference in the world, keep reading.\n\n/////\n\nOur front end is not in React… yet.  But we’re on our way there!  We’re looking for a React expert to lead the charge.  \n\nYou’ll be\n\n\n* Creating new features within Flocknote that are easy & fun to use.\n\n* Managing the technical aspects of Flocknote’s front end.Including increasing client-side performance and accessibility.\n\n* Helping out the rest of the front-end team as we move over to React.\n\n* Working with our back-end team so they can get the right data piped to the front.\n\n* Migrating existing features over to React.\n\n* Tackling front-end bugs post-push.\n\n* Integrating new features into a non-react front-end codebase. So experience integrating React with legacy code and understanding of using portals will be a big help here.\n\n\n\n\nYou’ll need\n\n\n* At least two years experience using React and a great understanding of its inner-workings and quirks.\n\n* To understand Node, Webpack, and Babel (beyond just using create-react-app).\n\n* To love Javascript, es6+, node and all things in that world.\n\n* Experience and comfort developing functional components and hooks. We won’t be using class-based components at all.\n\n* Some taste! We don’t pixel-perfect mock things up, so we’ll be relying on some of your great ideas to make things easy to use.\n\n* To be a self-starter and a go-getter with extraordinary integrity.\n\n* To be flexible, honest, professional, easy to get along with, and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills.\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points\n\n\n* React Native experience… we’re heading down that path too!\n\n\n\n\nThis is a full-time remote position with salary and benefits.\n\nTo apply, send your resume and answers to these questions:\n\n* Very briefly tell us about you. (Not your skill set, but what makes you tick.)\n\n* What is your favorite junk food and why?\n\n* Please describe the nerdiest thing you’ve ever done.\n\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Likely worldwide
